Honestly I thought it was lower at like 0.9EC/450ppm but I made a large batch measuring in at 2.35EC which wasn’t far from the normal amount I was using prior ratio wise. White Widow and Gorilla Glue must love feed?
I don’t think I will raise this amount until I am the week before flower for that one month period until ripen and flush right?
Edit: @Covertgrower yes I let my mix settle and re stir then settle over an hour then check my EC, so Silica has been added prior to this.
Man, awesome thanks for the input, thats basically what I needed to know to finalize my feed in confidence, there are so many conflicting charts I just wanted someone to say “THIS WORKS FOR ME” lol.
From my understanding, add nutes first as they can fluctuate pH due to their contents of minerals (being acidic or alkaline). The pH adjustment is essentially an afterthought if it does not align with what your plant requires (lucky my nutes bring me to a perfect 5.8).
Correct. Everyone’s set up is different, especially water and minerals in it.
As long as you’re aware that it can change, and you check it, you’re doing good.
I have the luck of this being my first grow, yet having biology and chemistry knowledge (barely) that makes things make sense… cool… Thanks man, trying DWC (I wont be going RDWC to make it so i can influence and test individual results) I think will be the highlight of my learning curve (next grow).
How good is it when you go to roll a joint and just realized you did it ages ago…
Just saying, life is pretty sweet guys, take cherries!
EDIT: The even better part is when you type this post, then forget that you had a rolled one that you just posted about and go to roll again, it just gets better!
I’m in coco with my clones and is my second time trying coco my first grow was coco and I love the control and the relationship I had with my plants and dont forget that coco is a cal mag whore I had to double the recommended heavy feeding to correct the deficiency I had but I also like the idea of living soil where you feed the microbes instead of the plant i will be transitioning soon to living soil
Yeah I had Cal issues, so I think, I have repaired them (I wasnt using full recommended dose at start, but unlike other nutes I learnt Coco needs full Cal full grow).
I use a foliar spray with high pH (6.5 cause apparently Cmag needs high pH for best absorbtion) and Cmag double reccomended dose and spray just as lights go off, that seems to be the appropriate time as it gives the chance for the stomatas to take it in and it wont cause burn from droplets under light.
Apparently spray straight away after lights off if your having deficiencies with Calcium cause those tasty feeding holes close up within an hour of dark.
Ok so please the following if anyone can assist/re-assure… I have taken it a bit more easy in the field of concern but I just need to know things are smooth AND MOST IMPORTANT CAN I TOP AND TRAIN (DETAILS PLEASE :P)?
Also, white prominent circular white spot at tip of leave with what looks and could be nute burn coming on (HIGH feed a whole other story to go into) cant give EC or PH at the moment to help assess but I can give estimate. WHAT IS HAPPENING? SHOULD I FEAR?
That dot looks like some damage caused by some nute splash Or maybe A drop of water magnified your light causing a small burn but they all look like healthy girls to me . Top away .
They are coming along nicely. Certainly nothing I see to stress about. The spot looks like a splash burn more than anything.
That close up looks ready to top.
You can start your lst - not quite enough to tie down yet - but to knead and bend - certainly.
@Watt-Sun@Budz420 THANK YOU hahaha, tis hard feeling alone on your fist grow. Your answers would make perfect sense its bottom leaves that get splashed by my feeding.
AND I CAN FINALLY TOP! They will be bigger tomorrow cant wait then give them 3 days or so for some LST
I am happy happy!
Should I be defoliating this top? Or wait till LST (3 days later I guess or when I have a bit more).
Just trying to understand how to best approach this top and train/defoliate.
@ashhhh Awesome, it is along what I thought that’s great! Everyone agrees lol and thanks for the video’s I try to source as many as I can, just want it right.
@Budz420 so I am about 3 weeks in now, you think at 5 weeks in preparation for flower is the right time… I know thats what I have come to understand but I am getting so toey!!!
If you have a look at my grow, I am about 9 or 10 weeks in veg I think - heavily trained down for sure. But the only leaves I remove are damaged, injured or discoloured leaves. So early you are better to tuck or guide them if you really need to. But with yours - I see no need to remove any leaves. As soon as you top her - the game changes - her growth changes. That is when she will start to thicken up. But that is where your LST comes in - guide to avoid cover of leaves eventually, if you train right - your tops will punch through the canopy anyway…
Make sure your air circulation is in order, top her - and sit n chill for a couple of days
