Hello,
Just getting things together at the moment in preparation.
I am considering using a dual carbon filter setup just to keep any odors out of the house.
However, I have been wondering just how much strain I might be placing on the inline exhaust fan, as well as being able to effectively clean out the volume in the tent as needed.
I’m going to be using a 27”x27”x63” tent. There will be at most two plants inside 3gal fabric pots under a Mars Hydro TS1000 light.
I am using an AC Infinity S4 fan, 4” duct and two 4” carbon filters, additionally I have two 6” hurricane fans inside for circulation (top/bottom).
Are two carbon filters, one inside(intake) and one outside(exhaust) too constrictive for this setup? Would I then suffer more challenges with heat/humidity at all?
One carbon filter will be plenty for that setup, two would be overkill. Because it’s a shorter tent I’d run the filter outside the tent (exhaust) this will give you more height for the light.
With two filters your just creating another layer of resistance, so the motor will have to work harder and air flow would be reduced.

Agreed! I run 1 Cloud Line 4” outside the tent, pulling through a 4” C filter inside my 20”x36”x60”. No Oder running on, or close to full speed, but the 2 Cream+cheese CBD plants are just 1week into flower. A 6” fan would suck the tent walls in I believe. As @Dave101 said I’m now dealing with light height.

Never going to keep all the smell down. What you going to do when you open the tent up to water, feed, prune, train, harvest and trim? And with a 5’ 3" tent your not going to have much grow space with a filter, blower and light in the tent.
