If you just want to grow two plants… An AC Infinity 48x24x60 tent would be perfect.

I’ve tried many different tents, other than gorilla, vivosun, Opulent, AC Infinity, etc.

AC Infinity equipment is really good quality for the money.

I agree AC Infinity tents are very good quality at a good price. They don’t require extra things like duct flanges. Also all other AC Infinity stuff is make to integrate with their tents.

I agree with AC Infinity quality stuff at a reasonable price 2x4 is great also a 3x3 get the tallest tent you can fit in your space if your starting from scratch AC infinity tent kits are a good deal

I’d go for the tallest tent your space can accommodate. It’s easy to underestimate the height you’ll need if you want decent size plants. Figure you should have at least 12 to 18 inch clearance above your grow light as that’s what most manufacturers call for. Then you might want anywhere from 12 to 30 inches between your grow light and your canopy.
So a 60 inch tent doesn’t leave a whole lot of space for plants to get tall. Even a 72 inch tent is short in my opinion. My 2 1/2 x 5 is 86 inches tall, and my 2 x 4 is 84 inches tall.

I’ve seen tons of people here over the years with height problems. I’ve never once seen anyone say they wish their tent was shorter.

Height is a consideration. My basement ceiling is less than eight foot. So used an AC Infinity 5x5x80, and hang the lights about five inches from the tent ceiling. There is a lot of air flow in the top of the tent, so no problem with heat above the lights. Remote mounting of the light drivers helps with heat as well.
If I had an eight foot ceiling, I would have used a Gorilla tent. I am not sure if anyone makes a tall 2x2 anyway?

Good points on the height.

I’d have to recommend a 4x4 if 60" is too short… That gives you height, extra space, or extra plants if you choose to later. However if you train to a screen and take a lot of time in veg… One or two plants could fill a 4x4. I’d still recommend AC Infinity… Or if you desire even more height the gorilla tents have a height extension.

Thanks everyone I will look at the gorilla and ac and go for 86” if they have one. Thank again.

No, but I certainly wished I was one inch taller when building the 48x48x80 inches tent.
And yes, I wished I got a taller tent ( i own a step ladder.

I have three AC tents. I bought a tube of zipper lubricant since it seems all reviews of tents mention the zipper getting caught. I haven’t had any problems with zippers.

Best to you!

Dry graphite spray is a good choice, no petroluem residue to collect dust from an oily substance.

The extra portals are nice for any brand, but zippers appear to be #1 issue as @JaneQP was nice to highlight the biggest complaint from most with a good preventive measure.

If you can’t find a size you want from one of the brands already mentioned, the best tent I’ve ever had is from a brand named Lighthouse Controlled Environment. It’s my 2 1/2 x 5 that’s 86" tall. They’re available, but not easy to find. For some reason they never come up in the first bunch of pages on an Amazon search. They’ll be on page 30 or 40, but if you search by name it’s easier to find them.

On the opposite end, my 2 x 4 is by Quictent, and I definitely do not recommend that brand. Frame is cheaper, and zipper sticks all the time no matter how much I wax it.

Here’s what the Lighthouse logo looks like.
If you see one of these, I’d go for it.

And the Quictent, which I’d avoid unless you get it for free, lol.

Have you heard of or used a Grow Hut brand tent?
Friend sold me his. As mentioned below issues with zippers.
It’s also only good for 1 plant. Best 2-3 plant tent?

Correction… Green Hut.
It is 32x32x63.

You could grow a couple nice plants in there…

You have to remember your plants height “budget”. Once you hang your light… At its highest measure down about 21-31 inches… That’s your maximum canopy height at harvest. After veg… If Photoperiod… When you flip to 12/12 light from 18/6…your plant(s) will double even triple in height. With LST techniques you can keep your canopy level and at a good height away from your light.

As far as zipper issues… You may be able to buy zippers with self adhesive glue to replace a broken zipper… I’ve done lots of surgery on my old Vivosun 4x4 zippers… Where there is a will there’s a way!

Lubing the zipper can help a lot.

Thanks!
Looks like the zipper doesn’t match 100% correctly and the canvas needs to be stretched out.
Might barter this one and buy a new one that can fit more plants.
