So this is the first time ive had the set up to actually be able to lower temperaturentoward the end of my flower cycle. How low should i take them? During lights on it more difficult to lower but possible. Right now im over half way through flower. Lights on between 75 and 80 depending if dehumidifier is on or not. Lights off goes down to 65ish range. Should i try to take them down more? Seems to me where im at in flower cycle they are still going strong compared to the recommended flower time for the strains. Thanks for the advice!
If you are doing this to bring out color the in the flower stage. It’s recommended aim for a 10deg difference in night and day temps. Check your trichomes for harvest times. The flower dates given on the package is only a reference to go by in a perfect condition grow.
I run my tent temps in this range.
Dehumid is in a tent (4x4) connected to my flowering 4x4 40% humidity helps lower PNW lung room and tent humidity. I try keep flowers under 60%RH
Next, what PPDF/DLI are you running?
Lights and height?
pictures?
From my research, 65 is great, below 60 is too cold.
Something to keep in mind though, is that cool downs at night really raise the relative humidity, and can create some nasty issues if not controlled.
So theres 28 plants, 4 strains. This is by far my best grow. Running 2 hlg scorpion diablo, 2 pro grow 1800, 2 next light 420h. Running humidity lights on 45. Off 50. Ppfd was about 800 to 900. I just lowered to 700. Definately open to suggestion. Just going by what ive researched
Those are some fine looking ladies if I’ve ever seen any… wow! Keep it up!
Better than I raise, Congrats
Oh im sure thats not all true. You think my temps are good where they are, and keep running them there?
Very nice well done !
One helluva run Grow Bro! Temps in earlier post are great IMO
Yes.
What are you using to move air inside the canopy? Are those large fan leaves moving?
I have 2 16 in oscillating fans in corners on top, 2 box fans blowing under canopy. Plus small fans blowing heat off lights up. Also a 8 in exhaust with filter and 8 in fan with filter just hanging in the room scrubbing. So lots of air movement. Lost alot my first grow to mold so tried to learn my lesson on airflow. The one thing im real uncertain of still is what ppfd i should be at. Should it lower toward the end of flowering? Or stay strong with it? If lower then when should i start? Alot of conflicting info on this. Love to get some opinions/advice on lighting intensity from some of you guys
Not qualified to answer your lighting question.
My last lighting change was supposed to help.
Lowered lights, reduced hours 11/13off, thinking I was dialing in (i thought).
Growth transitioned from actively showing white pistils, to done for season, appearance
My vote, don’t rock the boat. Keep all the same, it got you here…
“stay strong with it”
My understanding, is lowering the light for the last 2 weeks or so of flowering is mostly to prevent fox-tailing. By this point, the plant is basically done growing, and is just ripening up the tric’s.
I raise the lights in the final weeks of flower to avoid fox tailing.
With led lights you’ll probably see best results keeping lights on temps around 80f or so. They don’t have the ir light to heat leaves like hps does, so you need a little warmer air to get leaves to ideal temp. If you watch young plants you can nearly see them stall a little with canopy temps even in mid 70’s. I wouldn’t worry any about lights out temps dropping to 65f.
What do you all think? 2 of the 4 strains im at the 56 days redommended flowering time. Theres a little amber on about half of the plants. But they are still shooting alot of white pistles. Some plants its still all white pistles. Still a ways to go is what im thinking, what you think? Theres a couple plants that are ahead of the rest but i think majority has a good 2 to 3 weeks???
At least.
