Get your clones as close to the bottom as podable ok that works best with Auto’s

Im going to take some cutting tonight off AK. Im also going to try and take a few from WW just to see what happens.

Ive watched a bunch of videos on youtube and they are all pretty much the same. I feel confident I know how to do. Getting it right will be a different story.

I also picked up some rooting compound. Ill post pictures of tonight and of my progress. Thanks for this post. If this works Im going to have some happy friends.

Will, what do you think of rockwell because i keep trying to start clones in water and they just die. i cut them at the knuckle scrape the bottom stick them in gel and put them in water and they die.

Not that I know anything about this but according to youtube a humidity enclosure is very important because with out roots the plant can only get water from leaves. I picked up a small one that holds 12 cubes.

Diego I feel like we’re in the same boat. i’ve tried cloning in dirt i’ve tried water and the little disks that you stick the clones in with no luck.

No you are fine. It’s about cloning Auto’s pollinating and growing in two different soils
what you can post will help all who is watching instead of jumping all over the forum and what you may add to the journal most likely will be added to my written journal on my lab-top which will be handed out at the conclution of this experiment.

OK, here we go.

I got three good cuttings from White widow, right at the base of the plant. The three I took had no signs of flowers. I got five good cuttings from AK 47 again at the base of the plant. I also stuck three other cuttings from AK in cubes because I was there doing it, so why not. I don’t have much faith in the last three.

-I cut each one on a 45 degree angle, then soaked them immediately in a cup of water that had a cap full of hydroperoxide in it.

-While they were soaking I used the hydroperoxide water mix to soak my starter cubes.

-I poured a bit of rooting compound on to a plate.

-Next i took one of the cuttings and skinned all around the bottom that was just cut, rolled it in rooting compound and stuck it in the cube. On Wills advice I added some compound inside the cube. As you can see from the pictures I didn’t skimp on the rooting compound.

-Next I trimmed all the leaves in half.

-When I had done this for all the cuttings I took what was left of the rooting compound and mixed it with my hydroperoxide water and poured it into the tray. Covered the tray and ran to the computer to get it all down before I forgot what I did!

From what Ive read it will be 7-10 days before I know if any of them took, but I think that if they don’t take they will die long before that. Ill keep you all posted.

Thank you Will for starting this tread, with out it I would have never attempted this. If it works I just turned two plants into twelve!

Now pictures.

I am new to this and I cloned autos with out knowing it. They were about 5 weeks old and had some strong begining flower. It was hard to convert to veg. They went through some strange growth befor getting on with veg. But I got it done.

Now I am working with a medical mj pro group with my organic solutions and they clone auto all the time. They say it is almost not worth it because of the slow conversion.

I found it hard but interesting and fun. Now my auto clones are starting to take off and do well. But now they are not even trying to flower. The light is down to 10 hrs and the nutes are set for flower.

So how did I get an auto to be stuck in veg??? I would think this is impossible??? But as a noob I could be wrong. These clones are my third grow.

I am due to post the latest pics as the change is very cool now. I hope it works because the smoke and chocolate from mother was great.

Opinions please.

Look into a bubble cloner they are pretty simple to make and work great! I was cloning or trying to clone in soil and water with 10-20% making it and now I get 99%

DIY Bubble Cloner give this link a look it pretty much explains how to go about building your own bubble cloner or I have have seen them on amazon pretty reasonable priced also.
