Hey ILGM Growmies!
Curious, I have 2 55w 2ft T5’s I was going to use for my seedling stage, I was curious how far can I push these into the Veg stages of my plants.
The plan is to start vegging up some plants using these coming to the end of my grow so I can shorten my time between yields.
Is this an effective method and am I on the right track with my train of thought?
Thanks in advance!

I have a 2ft T5 HO 96 watts 6500k and 3000k i used for my first grow all the way thru Veg/Flower light fluffy buds maybe 3/4 of an ounce LOL. I now just use it for seedling with the 6500K You can use it for Veg also just keep the light low

Awesome that’s good to hear, thanks man! I guess it is just a question of the quality of the lighting and growth now.
How well do they veg up? Reckon its good for just before flower or put it under my LED’s to veg up instead for a couple weeks to get some strong growth before pushing it into flower under LED’s?
Want to get a semi perpetual grow going with it hopefully.
They Veg up pretty good but for flowering with 3000k not so good
Here is a pic of my Blueberry Auto that i just harvested today that was Veg under my T5 HO

Perfect! You have solved my worries lol, it looks like for starting a veg these should work perfect, based on those pictures I would be more than willing to veg them under T5’s for a month and then do a couple weeks of LED’s before flower.
Appreciate the photo’s and info man!

@Deepsix how close would you hang the 2ft T5’s to your plants when seedlings and early veg?
5 or 6 inches to start then raise it as they start to grow. I place the back of my hand under the lights if it is to hot for my hand it is to hot for the plants.
