Ya they got a good watering

@Cantgetnosatisfaction your lack of help is very constructive

I really don’t have much experience but I did remove the lower biggest fan leaves on mine. Some people do, some don’t. If you leave them, then yes, just go to 12/12. There is another informational site that mentions removing a lot of them, which is what I did, supposedly to it make the plant concentrate on producing buds. Do a google for defoliation before flower.

I will tag in a few more knowledgeable members, @Covertgrower, @MattyBear, @raustin, @blackthumbbetty. Sorry if I missed anyone!

leave the leaves on!

For a photoperiod plant, if you plan on defoliating, do it a week or more before flipping your lights OR a couple weeks after flipping your lights. That way, the plant isn’t starting to produce buds as well as trying to regrow leaves at the exact same time.

You can tuck leaves out of the way, too.

ive only been growin for over 2 years. got about 30 successful grows. never removed any fan leaves.

Please…defoliating is a tried and true grower’s technique. Just because you do not personally believe in it doesn’t make it wrong.

I do not believe in defoliation for my grow, but that’s my grow. There are so many different ways of growing. Except for basic scientific facts, such as pH, light needs, cannabis specific grow needs, and environment (rh, temps, wind, etc), pretty much anything goes…if it works for you.

ill check it out but hoenstly it seems completely cpunter productive

doesnt believe in defoliating but is trying to shut me up. youre right. plants dont need no leaves. they only need the flowers. hey. just rip the roots out too while your at it. make room for more root growth

Oh a little more information these are bag seeds and I am pretty sure photo the lights are 4) qb132 there in 3 gallon pots with soil ph 7.0

I personally only tuck, I do not defoliate.
The only time I do this when I’m trying to keep the the lower canopy cleaned up to make the plant focus on the top canopy during flower. Lower flowers that don’t get any light also.

Follow what nebula haze says. I remove leaves before flower and about 2-3 weeks after the flip
