Switching light schedule to run at night

Hey all,

I continue to battle the heat in my garage set up even with a larger AC and thought about changing the light schedule but I am afraid to pull the trigger in fear it will stress the plants out and screw it up.

My current schedule (12/12 - week 2 of flower with photos) is 7am - 7pm.

Can I just switch it to 7pm - 7am to keep it cooler during the heat of the day?

So, tomorrow don’t turn them on and wait until 7pm, thus they’d be in the dark for 24hrs till the next cycle starts? Or will that stress them and cause them to hermf ?

Correct if growing photos. The plants won’t care about an extended dark period.

I did the same thing not to long ago. I just left them in the dark cycle longer.

I have the lights on at night so I can mess with the girls before I go to bed. Also the heat during the day, night time better. no need to compensate and I live in a cool climate too. Plus at night time I open the window a little to get some refreshed air instead of the circulation that has been going on while I was at work.
Good luck I do autos I made a mistake yesterday believe it or not when I was changing time for the lights to go on and off an hour difference and I forgot to click on the off LOL

Go for it’ll be fine. I’ve always run lights on at night. It also helps with a little extra heat winter months with lights on at night. It’s also cheaper at night not being peak hours.
Happy growing !

Never thought about peak hours or heating up the house at night very very good and I never thought of it you’re awesome, I know I barely use the minimum every month except for the AC summer months.
