Got these Super Lemon MAC growing under a Mars Hydro TS1000 in FFOF. They are 34 days into flower, have some good crystals and are looking otherwise pretty healthy but this browning I’m hoping is just normal maturing as they approach week six of flower? Thoughts?
@Jungianstrain are you talking about the amber thats normal. they look awesome beautiful bud nice job
Thanks, man I have three grows going right now, and they are all my first, lol. I wasn’t sure if five weeks was too early for those brown pistils
That is your pistils getting dary and curly, they will all turn and receed into calyx.
Great looking ladies. Look at all that sugar.
Very nice!
Not at all. Some strains go through cycles with their pistils - they’ll throw hedgehogs, then those original pistils begin to amber up and the plant sends out a fresh wave of white pistils and stacks more bud. I’ve had a plant rinse and repeat about three times before I was able to chop.
The biggest thing to look for with pistils changing rapidly is if only a couple on the entire plant are browning quickly - or if only one side seems affected - those can be signs of pollination (which then would make me look outward to my other plants or inward at that plant for hermaphrodite parts). In your case, they look appropriately even (don’t stress if the browning pistils are concentrated near bud tops - it’s likely just the most exposed to the light are maturing fastest) - I don’t think pollen is a problem for you.
Thanks for this detailed response. Great Knowledge!
Thanks, man! Yes I’m glad the consensus among the other growers is that it appears normal
@Jungianstrain your welcome my friend happy growing
