Super cropping how does it look?

So I’m a first timer here how am I doing so far?

How much longer should I be keeping these girls in veg?

Depends? Are they autos? If they are you wont get to choose. If they are photos, decide what width and final height you want out of them. If you take clones, it can be fun to do fast turn overs. If not, let em bulk up and flip whenever you want, just know they will double in height from stretch when they flower.

@Cannabian. They are photo period fem Gelato from seed. I’m trying to get the biggest buds possible off these plants. If I keep in veg longer will my buds be bigger and more dencse? Or will it just affect my end yeild? My light must be doing the trick because these things are growing super bushy it’s probably not even over a foot tall yet. The stalk of my plant is probably the size of a penny already and thick bark like a tree branch

Here are 4 northern lights. Tallest is 14" shortest 9" changed to 12/12 seven days ago

Other than genetics / strain, I believe density has more to do with growing conditions and light quality. I think it is reasonable to assume under similar growing conditions and training a 4’ plant will produce more than a 3’ plant

Wonderful, yes plant size can definitely influence bud cola size, but up to a point. An example would be this bad girl here

This plant is simply massive! but the bud size wo t reflect its magnificent size! The total dry weight will be huge!

This plant is all natural and if left that way the central cola would be pretty chunky but at the expense of less chunky side colas.

So the plant 3rd from the left will produce a massive cola if left unpruned! Garanteed bigger than any colas on that huge tree, because that plant would put all its energy into that cola, I know this because it has almost no internal branching, conversely the 2 to the left are super branchy and they tend to divide the bud growth. So in short, if you want massive colas, the best thing to do is SOG grow many single stems that focus bud growth in one stem. The trick is getting that 1 stem thick! Genetics will play a part in this!

What @beardless is doing there is fantastic! Plants look great! Will he produce huge colas? Likely not because he has a very even canopy, that tends to divide the bud creation up evenly. In the end he will get a bigger yeild per plant. But it has been proven that if you arent growing massive plants, the highest return for floor space will be from a Sea of green grow. Multiple individual plants grown from a mother from clones, turn around time is very fast! Bud size is generally really thick and chunky! No larf at all. Small plants. Ironically this, when dialled in makes huge amounts of weed in the same years time!
