I think I stunted my plant by trying to hit the 45 DLI during mid pre-flower because of the “autoflower DLI chart” on google and had the lights too close. I received a small 2-3" stretch when I lifted them.

Or is it fine/slow?
I don’t remember my first grow being this slow or for the flowers to be this developed this short.

It is struggling with nutrients as some leaves yellow like this every time like it wants me to do nutrients every 5 days, not 7.

Sprouted 11/5, preflower 12/15 ish

This plant most likely experienced some nutrient toxicity, mainly nitrogen. I would dump the res or reduce the PPMs down around 850, the PH looks good :love_you_gesture:

Yeah it got super dark green for a day or so. Will do tyty. Back up to 3.5 gallons! And enough grow nutes it seems. %7 niteogen

@OGIncognito
Can I drop the lights back down to put out 750 PPFD? 20" I believe.

Or is there a possibility of more stretch?

I would maintain the light level you have.
If you’re able to increase the air temperature I would. I know it’s winter and that can be challenging.
If you are able to increase temperature to 75° even 80° if you can, I would.

Went with a res change to get any of the leftover Grow out. All bloom nutes now. I guess I was hoping they’d encourage more stretching.

@Covertgrower
Not a problem! I have the 8 plug AC infinity thing and a few of the plug in adapters with a heater hooked up to one.

I was fiddling around with temps trying to simulate a summer to winter decline. Seems I started the temp drop too early.

80 is fine for BB? I can’t find strain specific temp suggestions easily on Google. 80 day 70 night?

80 during the day, and if you can keep 80 at night, you’ll be doing better.
70 is adequate if you prefer that at night.

I kind of liked the tiny purple twinge I was getting on the calyx but I will get the temps there.

I thought they needed a 10 ish degree drop at night?

You can, it’s a personal preference.
If you have the capability of reducing temps at night, for colors, this is typically done at the end of the grow, after she’s been in full flower for 6-8 weeks.
If done in veg, you get stunted growth.

You don’t say xD
I assume this is the same for any other sort of stress training? Water level, UVB, temp, dark period, etc. I was trying to span the entire grow with gradually increasing.

Can anything be done without impacting the plant this bad that would prioritize terps and flavor over harvest?

Not entirely true. Low stress training, can be done throughout its life. Topping can be done as soon as the 5th node, or whatever personal preference you have for that.
Some stress training can occur only in veg, like super cropping. The plant is too stiff to attempt to snap in flower, and you risk breaking it off. This is only recommended in veg.

So, generally speaking, not every type of stress training is recommended in flowering. Only veg.
