I’ve been having problems getting the PH down in this plant. Last time I watered , the run off was 7.3 and TDS 210. Today I water with nutrients, adjusted the PH to 6 to compensate for the high number last time and the run off was still high at 7.1 It looks different than the other plants too, the ends have strange white tips on the leaves. I started the plant March 15th from seed. It’s grown 3" in the last 4 days and still looks healthy but the pistils aren’t in the same stage as the other plants the same age. Any suggestions ?.
Can you take a picture in regular lighting if possible? I think @Donaldj knows what this is!
@ktreez420 Sorry, took awhile…I had to move everything out to get to it. Oooop one photo is the same
how close are the lights @bobbi almost looks like bleaching
that said @AngelicSoul had an issue with new growth that was urmm shoot i forgot some unheard of deficiency for me
Stop Iron Deficiencies In Marijuana Plants Now!
An iron deficiency causes the leaves to turn yellow except for the veins. Iron deficiencies in marijuana plants are easy to fix with the right nutrients
ok she beat me to it lol
but there are some similarities for you both
It could quite easily be iron that’s a more classic later stage presentation
I have 8 plants and they grow so fast and different heights overnight. I’m thinking it maybe got too close to the lights, the ends are curlings up a bit which makes them look white. It’s so hard to adjust the lights to fit all these plants! I’ll go move it up and see it the plant goes back to normal looking. How about the high PH? How can I get that down?
what soil are you using @Bobbi ?? FFOF?? you can try altering the feeds PH to slightly lower than the norm say for soil it would normally be aiming for 6.5 going in and running off pretty close too can maybe try lowering feed down to 6.2 going in…
obviously that’s really medium dependant though
Fox farm soil…I did go in with 6 PH since it was so high last time. (7.3 run off) So run off going in with 6. PH plus the nutrients came out 7.1. And I did put the nutrients in first before I leveled off the PH to 6.
if your putting in 6.0 and still getting 7.1 out then i would suggest a full on flush with just PH 6.0 to try and wash away some of the lime in the FFOF as that will keep pushing you back up until your getting a 6.2 to 6.4 reading, at least that’s how i understood someone explaining a similar issue before
I’m a newbie and not sure what a full on flush mean, please explain? And what does FFOF mean?
just keep running water through and through and through til the PH finally starts dropping down, I’m guessing its the Dolomite lime in your mix if i remember rightly that’s forcing the PH back up, this could take quite a LOT of water though hence i said full on flush I’m in UK so forgive me if my terms come out strange at times lol a RINSE i think would be the American term
Okay, got it…thanks!
