Did you water soak these for 24-36 hours in water to pop the seed? Regular seed drops take a while to sprout up to 5 days or more sometimes. I soak the seeds in water for 24-36 hours to pop them into a moist paper towel sealed in a ziplock bag for another 24-36 hours and always have a nice tap root, bury the seed approximately 1/4” in your medium or riot cube. How moist or wet have you kept the cube :love_you_gesture:

The cube was very moist, with Formulex solution with is for seedlings; the other 4 came up ok; should I put them in water to try again or on a wet paper towel?

Nice tails, wrap them in a moist paper towel and sealed in a ziplock bag for 24-36 hours. Couldn’t hurt and sometimes seeds are just tough nuts to crack or plain old duds :love_you_gesture:

What do you mean by nice tails? That’s a picture you posted, right? I only posted one picture with the 2 unopened seeds

Some seeds are stubborn. My very last Hindu Kush bean did not pop. Gave it 2 weeks. Dumped the solo cup with soil and bean in a pot of dirt i had cooking and forgot it after a long cry. A week later the sucker popped. YAY!!! It is now a mother for my clone runs.

It is almost pure landrace and some of the best I have grown. Sometimes its all about patience. If hasnt decided to pop I suggest burying in dirt. The chemicals and acids in the dirt break down the shells fast. I posted a short tutorial using rockwool and calmag to pop seeds no soaking. I get 90% or better sprout that method.
I do all kinds of ways dependimg on mindset of the day. Desperate last bean sprouting i default to the rockwool. The kush was a dirt start no soak.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to answer back and to share your experience, what worries me is that seeds like that could be somewhat damaged or that some seeds are just not meant to be and even if someone at the end, managed to split them there is a considerable chance they won’t grow to be great plants. But you have shown it doesn’t have to be the case

That might of been the realest stoner moment I’ve seen on here yet. Man just mistakenly complimented his own picture two minutes after posting it. Im actually dead :skull_and_crossbones: :joy: thank you @OGIncognito :joy: :joy:
