I just wanted to make a post complaining about sonoma seeds. 3 out of 4 developed a tap root. 2 of the 3 are on 3rd set of true leaves and have had discoloration problems since they hatched. The other ones seed never opened and fell over. Somehow it disconnected itself from its tap root? and the 4th still isnt popping after 2 weeks! So itās down to the 5th seed now for me to get my 3 plants for this upcoming grow. Its going to be way behind but nothing i can do now.
I have germinated hundreds of seeds, albeit not mj, in my lifetime. I typically am pretty great with germination rate, and once they do pop, ive never seen them die or start with issues until their big enough for me to mess up. I am so irritated with the quality of this product right now.
Oh and ive completely lost my seeds from my first grow. I am seedless! (I found them )
If i could go back in time id have bought seeds from ILGM (i didnt know of them really, at the time). At least id have some type of support and resolution.
Iāve had 1 of 6 not germ from ILGM and I know what I did wrong. The only other seed bank I bought from were bunk and Iāve seen topics reporting the same. I had 2 rot during germ. 1 finally germed and is only 10" tall at 3 weeks flower. Only 3 pointers to boot.
It sucks watching $20 bills go down the drain manā¦
The 2 i have germinated and the one i just started today better produce. This first run was to learn, but im specifically growing these blueberry OGs for my aunt, who helped raise me, and has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
I reached out to sonoma but they have an easy out considering it says āfor novelty purposes onlyā on the side of the box. Im not expecting muchā¦
Iām in the same friggin boat. I bought the seeds that keep rotting for my wife. The company told me they canāt do anything because I used distilled water not spring. All the others were distilled and popped just fine. I have a couple of comparable ILGM strains, though. Iām sorry to read of your loved one. Prayers going up for you and yours.
Thats bs thoā¦these companies wait for you to give them info that they can dispute. Seeds just need moisture. Theres nothing in spring water that can help them open up that i know ofā¦
I learned from all the amazon reviews ive read, never offer info they dont ask for, and when they do ask for info, fact check against any info on the sale site lol
The mark up on these seeds are insane anyway. They could probably sell 5x the seed for the same price and still come out way on top. My first purchase was a guy selling me 12 regular seeds for $40 bucks. Whats an mj plant produce? Hundreds of seedsā¦its wild lol
I could understand a hefty mark up if the plants had to be trimmed to collect the seeds. Trimming is a bxxxx. I watched some of a video that explains how basically every aspect of the mj industry is rigged.
As long as growing weed remains illegal in so many states, the prices will be jacked. These are essentially black market prices. Once companies like burpee get involved theyll drop dramatically i think. Right now its smaller companies that are taking risks, so i get it. I just think they should be more willing to work with customers, but it sounds like ILGM is, so this is where ill be shopping from exclusively going forward.
I got the hero Mix Pack a couple of weeks ago and 5 Gold Leaf for 50% off. So it was a little over 2, but itāll be enough to grow for 5 years lol. I also had a GSCE from ILGM produce a couple of seeds. Only 2 out of 3oz. Kinda like, āhey good job, hereās a reward.ā In a couple of years Iām going to start playing with genetics, but first few grows are just trying my green thumb really.
Nice man. Have you tried the GSCE yet? I was thinking about trying that strain.
Im going to try to grow 3 blueberry og if the seeds and seedlings pull it together, and 2 seeds same strain as my current grow (russian master kush og) in solo cups and hope 1 is a male. Then im going to try to only pollinate one branch. The blueberry og is an indica and im thinking my 3rd grow i can try growing a cross between those 2 strains so i can get the sativa dominant from this strain mixed with the indica/better healing properties of the blueberry.
It is great. Sticky as all heck. Most of the buds were golf ball size after drying. Horrible munchies and donāt plan on doing anything really important lolā¦
Were you doing indoor prior? If so, how do you think the 2 experciences compare? I wont be able to do outdoors in my area probably for years, so im curious how the experiences differ. Would love to try to grow outdoors, though.
How did the auto do? Autos seem like something you really need to be expercienced to grow. Was is it your first auto, or did you grow them indoors? Was it easier outside?
I havenāt done indoor yet so I donāt have anything to compare to. I planted 2 outside too late and they are incredibly stunted at 3 weeks flower. One is the aforementioned, PoisonBerry, and the other is another GSC. I just got a tent set up last night to finish them so Iām bringing them in after while.
I honestly loved/hated outside. Bugs, rain, drought, more bugs, days of cloudy weather. Then again you have all the room you need and get to be outside.
I was able to find my regular russian master kush og seeds thankfully, otherwise i would have been going into this upcomimg grow short a couple plants. Now I just have to hope one is female
technically im hoping one is female and 1 is male, and then im going to try to cross pollinate one branch from one of the blueberry og seedlings. That way ill have some back up seeds in case i cant acquire more before then, plus it seems like theyd make a good matching of strains.
All that free lighting too lol. Indpors its pretty awesome having complete control over the environment, in addition to using fun systems like aero/hydroā¦it would definitely be nice to watch some of these plants grow to their hearts content outdoors though. If i had it my way, id be doing both at all possible times. Make sure you have an exhaust fan with a carbon filter because they will stink up every inch of your house. Even with filters, at this late stage, i can still smell it some.
