Something going on with my outdoor grow

@Lostgirl fed at 470ppm, runoff all around the 1000 mark.

Found a little problem :face_with_diagonal_mouth: and put a bandaid on it. :face_with_peeking_eye:. Not sure when it happened but it doesn’t look new. What should I do for a long term repair?

Besides that… they seem to be ok.

Ouch… Can you get this hole to close more as flush together as possible?

I’ll have to try tonight when I get home. I had to water this morning before work and wanted to support it.

I’ll let you know later :weary:

@VBGrower You can put little honey in there then should be able to pull back together as @Lostgirl suggested

@Lostgirl Hope this is ok, and that it works. Added natural honey, pulled them together and electrical tapped.

Do I leave it all on, or do I remove after a period of time?

By the way, he had a blizzard down here! :joy:

We got about 6 inches and it’s still going. Cold as fuc 24° right now.

Nice job. It was a pretty nasty cut in your plant. You almost lost the entire branch. Definitely the zip ties need cut off after a few days (4+ days). I’d leave this black tape on for about 2 weeks and then gently take the tape off and check it.

These things heal pretty fast

You should tell those snow flakes to slow down, they are leaving streaks in the air!

It finally quit snowing at about 3:00 a.m. this morning. Here, we got about 9 inches of snow. Other friends in Maryland have said up to 15 in.

Guess we’re supposed to get 1ā€ here on Saturday…. We’ll see. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

@Lostgirl a friend of mine that grows tells me not to leave the tape on for more than a few days. He says the chance of rot because of no airflow can cause it to rot?? Thoughts?

I agree to a point.

You have what I consider a 90% amputation. This is very bad It’s going to take more than 3 days to heal. It will heal.

First, The black tape is a bad idea after 4 or 5 days. It’s not going to allow stretch for any growth. However, I would definitely leave it on for at least 4 days as in my opinion what’s the best type of hold that you need at this point.

You could then wrap it with a slice of ace bandage. This will allow more stretch and maybe some air flow. (After the initial 4 to 5 days in black tape)

Take a picture of the entire branch if possible next time you can. The good thing is there’s no buds so this healing process will be much faster as there’s no real weight on the branch itself.

The initial four days well hopefully semi clothes that big gap that you have. I definitely wouldn’t take the tape off any sooner than 4-5 days.

It should be pretty easy in 4-5 days to make a ā€œpropā€ for the branch while you take the tape off to inspect. At that point I would reapply some honey (preferably thick and cold) and rewrap lightly with a slice of ace bandage or sock material. Something with some stretch.

It’s going to take a good month to seal up. But inspecting it will let you know where you’re at.

Makes sense?

Yep. I bought some of that stretchy bandage type tape this morning. I’ll try that is 4 days.

He also agreed that 4-5 days for the tape max.

I snapped the main cola 100% off and was able to put it back on with gummy bears two pencils and painters tape. And it healed itself and that was 100% amputation

Well, I wrapped the break with ace bandage. We’ll see… it doesn’t look like it healed much at all at this point but nothing is dying from either branch.

I supported everything, tied em up, and cleaned up the bottoms again. A lot of suckers and lower leaves. They’re getting pretty big. I had to raise my ventilation system and raising the lights about every 3 days.

I did feed today. Went in hot , oops. 1200ppm runoff.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about on your break. @Zampano broke his almost identical to yours and it survived without issue. He did the stretchy tape surgery and left it on (even after harvest) :astonished:

The fact that nothing’s dying off tells me it’s good to go. You saved its life

1200ppm runoff isn’t what I consider hot. (More like a treat) :lollipop::chocolate_bar:

Did you lollipop these plants yet?

Yes, they’re lollipops alright .

Today I really cleaned up everything up. I think they look pretty good.

On a side note. We got a little snow last night, maybe 1/2ā€ woohoo! Then it rained an hour later so we’re left with some slush. Bummer. Was wanting to see it snowing but it was dark. Had to enjoy it this morning on the security cameras :joy:

Feel free to stop by anytime we got plenty of snow for you (it ain’t all cracked up to what they say it is)
