I dont have a lot of fancy equipment.
Strain sour d in soil (promix) the 2 in the middle kind of yellowing the other 3 have some leaf curl. I started in seedling trays. Then went to quart pots . Both with miracle grow soil. Other then that no nutrients yet. I really wet the promix then let set for the night before they went in 5 gallon buckets. Pm seems hard to tell when dry. Other then over/under water the only other issue i see is my old 1000w hps full spectrum. It kicks out heat but is 33 inches above canopy. Seems no more then 80° at canopy. Any thoughts appreciated. Last year my plants turned yellow and leaves kept falling off and i gave up. Please ignore my messy shiity unfinished basement.
What type of MG soil? Even the organic, black bag, has nutes.
Leaf tacoing is commonly due to heat stress, light intensity too high, or VPD issue. That looks like VPD is off, possibly.
I highly suggest you find @Dennis62 and study his journals. He is one of very few that can grow great looking weed in MG. Your Promix is peat base, so it’s not soil, unfortunately you have mixed the two and they have very different watering and ph needs. Best of luck, hope it works out for you.
Glad to help but I am not going to be around tonight, I agree with budbrother what miracle grow product? Potting mix, organic etc. Pictures gave me some good info. How often do you water to run off?
I gotta run and will check in later tonight or tomorrow afternoon @alex37 have a good evening
You also need way more aeration to your soil medium. Cannabis needs light airy soil with good drainage.
That mg and that pm. The mg was only used for seedling trays and 1 qt pots. They went in 5 gal buckets with pm. Which is mostly peat moss but has vermiculite and says ready to use.ill b3 watering the light 5 gal buckets tomorrow with some fox farm 3 pack nutrients. Some buckets still heavy . Wont water those
Im close to cloning the tallest 3 . I want them healthy though before i do for both the clone and the mother plant
Hey @alex37 well brother I do miracle grow potting mix exclusively, but I did a little research on the ingredients of your particular pro mix and I understand peat, and some vermiculite, and time released fertilizers up to 9 months. Water retention is better with peat than with coco as coco breathes better. I think I know what the problem is, the bottom leafs appear to be dry like paper, with no discoloration, so I would say you allowed them to dry out a day or two longer than you should have. Just adjust your watering and you should be fine, I personally don’t allow my plants root zone dry out too much, water to run off and then allow a few days before watering to run off again but don’t allow to dry. And with the time released nutes you should not have to add fox farm nutes until later in the grow, those nutes should get you through veg, I have time released nutes too and I supplement during flower. I believe that should help, I would in future grows I would add more perlite or vermiculite like 30% to 70 peat for better drainage. If you have any questions please let me know my friend. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can
