How much (if any) do you think the tent temp (2x4) would be effected by removing the transformer from the Led light to outside the tent. I dont it would be noticable! Has anyone done this and what are the result=s???

Lots of growers do it and it helps keep temps down.
Depends on the power you are running at the time, ie 50% 75% 100%
I would assume 3-7* difference.
Mine are remote mounted and the “driver room” certainly gets warm. Light panels not so much.

I would think the lights themselves put out more heat than the transformer.

Transformer is transforming, that produces lot of heat.
My room is dead right now, if I get a chance I’ll turn on 1 of them 100%+
and get ya some readings

Completely understandable man
I fired up one light to 98% about 30min ago.
Ambient room temp was 80* with exhaust fan already on.
I’ll give it a bit and go shoot some numbers.
Looks like the start of the hurricane front is here now, dark and thundering

80 is my tent temp with lights out. 84 to 86 on adv. Lights on, can occasionally get to 88 so i have to open top and bottom and crank exhust fan to max.

Ive been fighting warm temps and low Rh due to my local. 80 in lung room. At best and 35/45% Rh due to hvac. Am solving Rh next grow (soon to start) with ACI’S t3 humidifier and will play with thier 69pro controller for VDP #'s. Cant control temps but i will be able to control Rh.

I grow in an uncontrollably out door shop. 26x30
G room is a well framed and insulated corner.
Only do runs in there fall through spring since mainly hydro.
Just got into some indoor dirt this year so can’t speak on that.
Humidity is always a battle

Read about that ACI t3 or t7. Has some impressive stats and capabilities. My local grow buddy has one as well and is blown away with it function.

Pulled my Driver out of my 2x4 and it made a big difference running a 430 watt spider farmer in it.
