So 23 days ago my autoflowers seedlings shell came off, ive been being as patient as possible but seeing others peoples autoflowers being 30 days old being absolutely incredible and large with multiple nodes expanding multiple inches taller than mine. Did i just get bad genetics? Ive used nutrients but the tips of the leaves are yellow. And that dosent seem to change with grow big after a few feedings. Maybe soil ph is off? I consistently gove them water between 5.5 and 6.5. Waiting for my defumidifer to transplant the rest.
What type of soil are you using? You shouldn’t need to give nutrients for the first month or more if you’re using a cannabis friendly soil. Also ph for soil should be around 6.5 going in. Definitely not under 6.0. What breeder and strain is it? Autos just do their own thing on their own schedule.
Autos do tend to do their own thing.
Giving them the best available environmental conditions from the jump and maintaining it throughout the grow is whats gona give them the growth ur talking about.
Genetics play a huge role too so knowing the above posts questions will help us help u as well.
Ur plant doesnt look bad for 1month!
I got the seeds from a dispencery, it said jack herer autoflowers on the packaging but idk i mean they couldve been 22 dollars for 3 seeds for a reason to. I was thinkong about ordering from ilgm sonce they seem to be really dependable
I got the seeds from a rabdom dispencery 3 for 22 dollars so idk how good exaxtly the genetics are. I want to be the best grower since i use weed for pain relief since i have it near 24 7, also i uses fox farms soil blend 2 scoops happy frog and 1 scoop ocean forest. Temp is 70 rn and humidity is around 70 ish as well so its weird they are shpwong deficienies or maybe its watering? I give em 4 ml daily and i take my time administering
Gettung good genetics is going to help a lot. I cant speak on dispenseries as i live in an illegal state lol.
I also agree the 5.5 ph is to low. Shoot for 6.0-6 5 for seedlings/veg and 6.5-7.0 flower (6.8 probably being the sweet spot)
If you can raise the temps alittle the will help with them being able to have rapid growth as well as good watering practices.
I water them every day at 12 pm. 4 ml with a syringe for the most accuraye results and equal watering, im gonna try to raise the ph a little then and water a little further away that way the plant should hopefully reach out a bit more. When i get my dehumidifier ill also close the tent up more which should rause the temp to around 75 or even 77.
Might be watering to much. Want a bit of dry out between to get the roots going and searching for moisture.
Do you have Ph/ppm meter? That’s definitely going to be needed, one of the first things you’ll need imo. Need to know what the ph and PPM is going on, but also on your run off.
As others have said, autos are kind of fire and forget, they have their own clock on when they do things.
As @Scljrl mentioned, let them dry out b4 watering again. Also agreed on tge ph/ppm pens.
A good drench to drought routine is key when the plants get big enough. At this stage a cup or 2 every couple days is plenty. Water in a ring away from sten to encourage roots to spread and search for water. You might be ok to do water to runoff but i like mine a tad bigger b4 i do that.
This will be better than 70. Closer to 80 might even be best imo.
I gotta get a new ph meter one that checks the ph of the soil as well, my next watering ill do like 8 ml really soak it get some run off and hopefully check it. Then wait a couple days before watering again. Thank you
Yes, to early for runoff at this point, just was thinking ahead, but would still recommend measuring what’s going in to the plant prior to watering.
Thank you i appreciate it, ill try that and do an update at 1 month old, with temps better and a better watering routine gopefully thatll also encourage growth, at least the stems are strong. Barley move at all and orovide a shit ton of resistance for how thin they still are.
Mine at 15 days. Straight coco and jacks321. Im watering 4 quarts every 3-4 days. The coco tends to dry out quickly but maybe your soil is too compacted? Not allowing the roots to expand? I went soil last summer and they got root bound so I transplanted to coco and they took off like mad.
You don’t need to feed for awhile when using happy frog and ocean forest together. That soil is packed with nutrients to carry that plant 4-6 weeks before needing to feed. You said about giving grow big , do you have tiger bloom and big bloom also? Those 3 go together as a feeding schedule and are most important. Watering daily in soil is no good. Give them a little water in a ring around the trunk and no water for a few days. Once you are in fabric you can increase the amount of water you give ultimately watering until runoff once in a good veg.
What kind of light and what light schedule are you running?
Hmm i suppose its possible but the soil itself is pretty fluffed up i mixed all the soil pretty well so possibly its also cause im watering off to often and definitely not top teir genetics as well. Where do you get ypur coco? And as well where do you get ypur autoflowers seeds?
Im using full spectrum lighting on a 24 hour scedual i dont suspect its the issue since theres no lightburn.
Yes i plan to use all 3 at the apropriates sceduals the yellowing around the tips are actually starting to fade gave it a little less water and ive been doing the entire area i jjst actually did the ring method and aeems to be helpong thank you
Coco in 10lb blocks on Amazon or ebay and ILGM seeds.
Ill look into buying that with my next paycheck and use that after this current grow along with ilgm seeds. Wanna grow blue dream on my next grow since its a really potent high with the effects or reducing pain and all. What strain are you growing?
