Whats up everybody. First time grower, growing 4 CBD dominant autos. Started in some jiffy potting mix surrounded by FF Ocean Forest. Seeds germinated great, minus one runt. Sprouted and now seem to be vegging. They all seem to have great color and minor waviness (thinking over watering when they were seedlings) but one, which is also the fast and biggest has yellow stripes through most of the leaves. I thinking its a PH thing, I have hard and alkaline tap water. I’ve since PH downed it to around 6.5 from 8.0. Does that make sense in terms of the yellowing? These are right around the 14th day. Thanks in advance!
Fox farms soil = cal mag. I start with half doses then as they get bigger I increase.
I’d get some calmag for sure. That will help with alit of yellowing when u water as long as u soak around the plant real well when u water and get all wet then leave it til it’s dry again all should be fine soil needs wet dry periods if not u will kinda smother the roots as they won’t get oxygen with soil always being wet
Thanks guys. Will add that to the next watering. I just started full watering on Sun. Was just putting a circle or water around the seedling when the soil was dry till then. Sun was the first day I got the whole pot moist, no runoff. Watered again yesterday. No runoff as well.
I’m leaning towards PH. Hard water is usually full of minerals like calcium and without a water quality test it’s a crap shoot. Almost positive you can’t OD calmag if you’re adding it to your water . Have you watered to run off and tested a sample?
Nice looking baby
Thanks for the reply. I haven’t yet. My set up is pretty basic and just got the PH meter. Didn’t want to water till runoff cause I’m scared to overwater which was likely the case with the seedlings. Gonna give it a couple days and see if it persists with the PH balanced tap water.
@BromieMyHomie Welcome and happy growing!
