Whats Up ILGM?
First post here. Ive been lurking for a couple of months before I decided to pull the trigger on 3 Auto AK47 seeds.
They came in the mail and I put them in water for about 36 hours until the seeds popped. I planted them in miracle grow soil and watered them everyday since but a light spray. They have been indoors for 3 weeks under a cfl light. The PH stayed at a consistent 6.5-6.8 for all 3. They started to brown a little on the tips and now I bring them outiside and they get a considerable amount of sun (about 9-10 hours). Once I started bringing them outside I added Cal Mag to the soils. Im at the 4 week mark and the tips are getting worse. Please see the pictures below and if you could offer me any advice on what I should do moving forward or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this point. Ill also post my nutrients and maybe you guys can guide me on what to do. Thanks so much!
Thanks again for your help.
Erik
How you doing, one of the things you might want to consider in the future is steering clear of Miracle Grow soil, a lot of new growers use it and they have frequent issues with it

I have a place right by me and ill go now and pick the fox farms forrest soil up.
What would you say would be the best way to transport these?

I don’t know ?
… they’re tender and honestly a transplant might do them in but if I had to I would dig around them as wide as I could and try to rinse the dirt off roots in some ph balanced water… I’d do it slow and gently and I would have the water room temperature at least too
I’m not saying that’s your problem because we really don’t have enough information, but if that’s what you think you might do good luck !
Personally if those were mine and after a month I might consider doing something too

Yep, looks like classic MG soil results.
I found this site right after starting my plants this year. All my previous starts had the same issue as you have. I just purchased some Ocean Forest and Happy Frog with some perlite to mix in for added drainage.
It’s too late for me to repot what I have, but I’m hoping to get a female that I can clone and place in it once the roots get established.
We can grow in MG soil, but your success will be in spite of your soil.
Good fortune with your transplant!

Ok cool. I went and got the happy frog soil cause they were out of fox farms forrest and I will attempt a transplant today. I will do what was suggested and if all is well I will post pics of the progression. If not I will buy new seeds and start a new grow. Thanks so much for the help guys.

I think too much moisture retention has been part of my own problems in the past. Well, that and not staying on top of my pH.

A lot of people over water buddy, very common especially with new growers
I’m just the opposite, sometimes they dry out a little, I’m kind of negligent …but my girls love the abuse

@skateforgirl f irst I would like to Welcome you to ILGM as you can see no shortage of help here…lol
I must agree with @vicbesos420. Go find some nutrient free soil. I made the same mistake using M G to start with …but no worries OK
Pick up a bottle of nitrogen peroxide,
Iicquid thrive and root stimulate you’ll mix these with a gal of water. You mite as we get them bigger pots to. But get some potting soil with very very little nutrients ollor nun at all
mix two mil of each in gal of water then check your P H it should be 6.5 6.3
When you pull your plants s soak your roots place in new home soak again and
That’s it super easy

I ordered 5 super skunk auto just because im expecting the worst with these AK’s.
