Been in flower stage since this time last month and has only grown this much (pistol growth as seen in these pics)
My lights are NOT expensive by any means…
This is my first legit grow producing buds so I have a few $30-$80 grow lights…maybe this is the problem??
A friend of mine in San Diego was like …”just put it outside let nature take care of it…”
Need pictures of regular light my friend
Agreed that pic in natural light will help, however I’m pretty sure you have already answered your own question and pegged the light as primary culprit
The blue/purple lights generally just don’t emit enough light to flower weed properly
This most likely is also why it appears so small
It might be a bit late to make too much of a difference but if you can put in the sun, it couldn’t hurt. Just be sure to introduce it to sunlight gradually…. First shaded light before putting it in full on direct sunlight
Yeah, you’re going to have to bite the bullet, and get a real light. Otherwise you’re just wasting time, and money on utilities to get a couple joints. They’re expensive, but to be in the game, that’s what you have to do. Or outdoors.
Yep, what he said ^^^^
I can tell you even if you get it light it needs, the yield will not be much at all… I would treat this plant as a training and learning from experience
Yes.
I totally agree.
Lesson learned.
Now can someone recommend a really good light for around $300??
Ac infinity, spider farmer and mars hydro all make good lights for that amount. Give or take a lil. What size room/tent do you grow in?
I agree with your friend outside will be much better than the inside light you have.
For a inside grow, a good quality light is going to be your most important piece of equipment. Welcome to the community ![]()
Look at what DoneDeal suggested.
There are other options
Some people might think they’re not good options, (we have some who will only recommend bigger name brands, but when on a budget, sometimes bargain brands are the best option) I will only recommend ones that I have had good results with, or another member has
1st is bloom plus 3000 (or higher)
I have one and have had really good results with it. I can’t speak for longevity, and I can only imagine how hard it might be to get fixed if it ever poops the bed, but it’s served me well so far
@Graysin wholeheartedly recommends KingBrite brand. I’m sure they have certain models they like, and will probably chime in now that I @ them.
If you can scrimp some more I would recommend hlg, as they are a proven great light and company in general, but they ain’t exactly cheap
You want to absolutely not cheap out on light… most important part of the grow process really
I’ve got like a 6x3x4 grow tent
So 6 feet tall and 3x4 footprint? That’s perhaps a touch big for the particular bloom plus that I mentioned, however, unless you plan to absolutely fill that tent, it would not matter as long as the 2-3 plants are centered in tent.
I grew 3 nice shrub-like plants with the BP-3000.
I also have an hlg 300L rspec that would also be great for that space, but I’m pretty sure you won’t find one for 300 or less
Examples of plants grown under bargain light(Bloom Plus-3000)
OK here we go guys we’re outside now with a gradual break in so my dumb ass did not realize OK yes they’re autoflowers so they will flower all year long outside I was still stuck on the whole they’ll only flower in Florida you know during September August like I said I’m learning and I’m very thankful for this form for real
OK now I almost forgot this question no I was so been out of shape when I was in a grow tent about my temperatures you know been damn near 105 out here so putting it outside how do I not worry about those temperatures?
Oh you should definitely be concerned. That’s hot as all get out, but your choices are limited save finding a better quality light
They are pretty hearty plants but at those temps I’d keep a close eye on them for sure
Howdy Nick
This is photo period plant ?
If it is possible to put outside during daylight then put back inside, I would do that.
Then for next grow invest in quality light.
protect soil from overheating somehow, cover, mulch, shade. hot soil is worse than hot air temp. I like to throw a plant on the NE side of something so gets a shady break early afternoon
Autuflower but it seems to be doing very well outdoors but that’s a good idea there’s nothing wrong with bringing inside for few hours
