Getn ready for next run got mother earth groungswell i see that it has perlite already in it do i need to add more or is it good as is and is there any other amendments for a heather grow
I would eyeball it and see if it looks like it has 10-20% and you’re good. As far as the mix some people say the pro version is decent for growing in.
I think most mediums will need supplemental calcium and magnesium but don’t quote me I’m new to growing. I also think most only have enough nutrients for about 4 weeks and that’s dependent on watering habits.
10/4 ill check it out should i add worm castings or any thing else i know i will have to start feeding sooner with it since it is lightly amended
Maybe wait on worm castings for a little because the seedlings get most of their nutrients from their cotyledons. Not knowing the mix it could be a little strong for a seedling. My personal worm castings are slightly high in nitrogen so I wait until a little into the grow to start adding that.
Thanks for the info i hear alot about jacks 321 on here but when i look it up there’s all different kinds any thoughts not sure if you use them or not
Sorry not tring ro keep you i know everyone getn ready for the dreaded MONDAY:grin:
I use Grounsdwell out of the bag as is, and have had no problems with drainage in fabric pots. I also use Jacks321 from 1st feed til the end. Super easy and forgiving.
I see jacks 321 mentioned a lot of times on here for organic grows, I think it’s a solid choice. If I did a little more research prior to buying buildasoil brand fertilizers I would’ve went that route.
Thanks for the help @Truetopath @Bigcbud still getting everything together got 3 gal fabric pot be here Wednesday:upside_down_face:
if you have the room I would go minimum 5 gallon fabric pot, gives it more root room.
Yea figured i would use less soil and have more moving around room with the three but sure ill move up after i get a couple more grows under my belt:grin:
I always add a extra quart of perlite per bag of soil. From my experience with indoor grows five gallon fabric pots seem to be the perfect size for A reasonable grow space.
Good luck
Jacks is a synthetic nutrient setup. The magnesium sulfate aka epsom can be considered organic since it does form naturally on its own.
Oh wow, sorry to misinform.
Thanks for the info definitely will need luck im sure ill mess up some
No worries grow bud hope everyones grows going there way:metal:
Is there a specific jacks i should use or is it just the part a and part b i know some also use the Epsom and some dont
HAPPY FRIDAY to all well just chopped my first grow hanging to dry wont get much but had some weight to them for as skinny as they were still getting stuff together for next run hope everyone has a great day:upside_down_face:
