Just want opinions. The train wreck on the left I suspect has root issues. Is it worth letting it grow out or no. I could make more room for the Afghan and Hindu?
It’s 7 weeks old
Looks like a perfectly healthy plant to me. What do you see that concerns you?
I was wondering about root issues with the small branches and a few curled leaves. (It’s organic I don’t have any ppm #s) and if it did have root issues is it worth letting finish. I dont really have any experience with root issues and what it does to the plant.
Was also wondering if it’s just an Afgan leaning pheno of train wreck….train wreck is usually a taller plant from what I’ve seen around here.
I don’t see anything of real concern. It may just be a little more sensitive to the environment, but all in all, it looks pretty healthy.
I would personally never throw away a living plant. I also never have space constraints so that would not drive me to make that type of decision. Let her go, get some readings of your soils pH and ppm’s even if growing organic, I would still check those numbers. Good luck!!
Soil ph is 6.66
There is the problem. 6.66 bad number. Get it up to 6.67.
Height is more of a genetic issue than a strain issue. Environment also heavily influences height.
The symptoms of root issues are usually dramatic, and I see no symptoms of root issues. So long as you have wet/dry cycles, there will be very few root issues.
…
i think this is it.
nevermind. You know your stoned when trying to do more than 1 thing and you link in one thread when you are reading another. Not sure if that even makes sense…
Lots of good observations above.
I will add that this is what happens when you have a root problem.
Its a catastrophic event that effects the plant in a very large way. The plant suffers because the roots no longer provide what the topside requires.
This happens fast and its fatal. As others have observed, yours show no signs of root issues.
Thanks. That’s what I was asking. I didn’t want to put time into this plant and have it turn into that.
I don’t think you have any worries about this. Most of time I see root rot issues its an outdoor plant that has been rained on for many days in a row. Typically plastic buckets and inadequate drainage. Sometimes holes drilled only on the bottom and sitting on the ground the roots are flooded for days and rot starts. Letting the dirt dry out between waterings keeps the soil healthy and cannabis happy. Rarely see root issues indoors.
I can count on 1 hand the number of times I’ve seen it here in the forum in a mature plant in the past few years, and it is usually due to overwatering.
That was my afghan last year. Done in a day. No clue it was coming at all. Organic living soil. If you are organic I wouldnt dry it out all the way. Organics work different. We feed the life to feed the plant. Moist not wet.
Still have pics? I’d like to see it if you do.
Might ill look.
Thanks, mate.
