Hi all, I have 3 purple haze plants going which I started about a week apart. There an outside grow. The oldest one which is only about 6 wks old is showing signs of flowering. The days aren’t even getting shorter yet. I wonder if the made a mistake and sent me autoflower by mistake. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Welcome to the forum.
It’s possible. Keep in mind that cannabis is capable of flowering with as much as 14 hours of light per day.
Thanks! Possible they sent the wrong seeds? I’ll go with a different supplier next time if that’s the case. I didn’t see anywhere I could ask them directly. They probably wouldn’t know anyway. I was hoping for at least a few more feet before they flower. I’m not a newbie by any stretch. 45 yrs experience.
It’s possible. Are they ILGM seeds? ILGM is very good at making things right if there is a problem.
Yes. First time I ordered from ILGM.
Did you start these outside or inside?

Keep in mind that the staff are located in Europe and will have already gone for the day. You should hear from them Monday or Tuesday.
Germinated inside and put directly into current pot outside.
Thanks for that info!
So they were never inside under something like 18 hours light and then more recently moved outside? Because this reduction in light time will put plants into flower more often than not.
Correct. Went from paper towel to soil and directly outside.
They will re-veg iv been battling the same thing for a month an a half now 4 times they started to flower and then kick out
That’ll be interesting to see. I’m getting some boogie brew and maybe that’ll get them to veg out. Thanks
I believe that happened to one of mine, I started them inside with 18 hours of light, put them outside when the weather got warmer and one flowered a couple weeks later, photo sensitive plants, PS it flowered before the auto
Do you think this applies to Autos too?
It shouldn’t since the amount of light is not supposed to make a difference. But then why did mine start to flower at only 6 weeks when that’s the the amount of time auto’s are to start.
Maybe since we never have 18 hrs of sunlight that may have caused them to start to flower when you put them outside.
I think it applies to autos as well. Mainly because autos are supposed to grow to sexual maturity and flower anyway. When growing them indoors on long light periods and they don’t flower at maturity dropping light time will put them into flower. So moving them outside wouldn’t be any different.
The key point here is if plants are sexually mature. On this point it doesn’t matter if plant is auto or photo, neither will flower regardless of light schedule if they arent mature. Newer outdoor growers experience this a lot when starting plants indoors. If they are more than 4-5 weeks and started indoors on 18 hours light then moved outside to something like 14 hours light is enough to induce flowering.
No not really a light change can help them kick in to flower but there not as sensitive in my experience
@dbrn32 @BigTrout …Thanks…I just mentioned it because another member mentioned smaller plants this year and them flowering really early…I had this happen this year and not the previous three… I’m outdoor…In fab pots…In Happy Frog and Mothers Earth ( 70/30 Coco/ Perlite)… After germination I put into solos under a T5 (Ferry Morse) grow light… a few weeks give or take and then they go outside… Two of my first round batch are 1 foot wonders Mexican Airlines and Lemon Larry… But very very sticky and full of Trich`s…My Magic Melon went all bonsai on me and is growing really funky and has a knotted up kinda trunk…The two that are a few feet are X-mas tree like with a main cola…Im not really lookin for mass quantity I have so so much from the last few grows…Im doing it for the “Boutique” type thing trying to just max out on quality…not quantity…so much…
