I can get these containers for $25 a piece. Thinking I can insulate them and add holes for ventilation duct.
Those look like great pre made grow tents! Would you be keeping it indoors at all or completely outside?
Indoors, summers get too hot here.
If you’re indoors you probably don’t need to insulate at all. Just make sure they’re light tight and make the interior reflective. Mylar, panda film or flat white paint would work great.
Now that is thinking out side the box Panda film would work great in those.
Panda film it is!
Going tomorrow hopefully to pick up a couple.
The lumber is worth way more than the $25 for one.
Any ideas on how to do double sliding doors on one side? Like a closet hardware set I would think?
What about wood rotting or pest infestation, keeping clean, access to plants, cost to modify. I dont know but tents aren’t that expensive are they, ac infinity 5x5 is $199 probably cheaper with discount, if thats outside gotta be weather proofed how would you get it in a house or is it going in a garage and more to think about i think.
True…but I think it will work out for the best.
I doubt you will have issues since this is indoors. If it doesn’t. You are out what? 30 bucks and some labor
Yeah! That’s what I figured. I turned it into a garden shed after I got it home.
One guy was right it’s too big and cannot be disassembled without destroying it.
It’s solid just it’s put together with glue and 1 inch staples
I realize I’m late to this conversation, however, I would recommend you understand what these may have been used for. Wood is absorbent and any sweating could allow the release of toxins. .i.e. glues, sealants, or any hazardous materials shipped in them. Just a thought.
Nice find! I’d find a way to do that too! G’luck!!
Good points!!
I made them into a shed…lol
