Please help. My best girls are having issues. I’m in a 4x4x7’ under a spider farmer sf 4000 on 65%, fox farm ocean forest soil, 3 gallon cloth containers, 75°, 55-60rh, pH tap water to 6.3ish, big plants sprouted Jan 7, veg on Jan 21, smaller plants Jan 21, Feb 23. Bag seeds, supposed to be white runtz but who knows.
Plants started out really well. The soil seems pretty rich in nitrogen and all plants exhibit/exhibited nitrogen excess throughout their lives so I held off on any “grow big” nutrients. After several weeks, the plant in the back middle started getting a striping effect where it’s staying dark in the veins but lightening up in between. On advice of another grower, I started giving her magnesium via epsom salts dissolved in the water. She’s also gotten recharge a few of times. Her most recent watering, I also gave her a 1/3 amount of fox farm grow big, and a dose of big bloom. She has the claw now.
I usually water every 3-4 days, depending how light the pot is. I have a pH pen that I calibrate regularly (apera). I generally pH to 6.3. when I check run off, it’s usually close to the same. I do not have an ec/ppm meter.
Now she seems to be yellowing more rapidly. This is my best veg to date and now I feel like I’m screwing it all up somehow.
Thanks for your reply. I did start giving grow big and big bloom, and also ph my water regularly. It’s generally 6.3 going in and around the same when I check run off. Lights are at 65%, and the plants stress away when I try to turn it up past this. I have decent enough ppfd and dli, so I think it’s fine. She’s still losing color.
What are you seeing? The reason I mention is based on size vs. light performance. More light at this point (actually peak amount) will allow the plants to metabolize nutrients more readily than at lower light levels. If you are seeing burned tips you may want to do a runoff TDS to determine actual salt levels in the medium. You actually can see excess look like a deficiency and vice versa. Best to lock down your numbers and post 'em up here for us to look at.
Are you following a published grow schedule and if so are you checking the TDS before use?
I’m going to post a Support Ticket: if you would answer everything as best you can it would be super helpful. Tag me with the @ sign and I’ll look it over. Other experienced growers will also pop in to help.
Answer these simple questions the best you can.

I’m seeing the start of burnt tips and definitely seeing claw after giving the nitrogen. Dli is around 45, ppfd is around 700. I just upped it 5% and will monitor. I don’t have an ec/ppm/tds meter but I just ordered blue labs one and it will be here Thursday so I can post an update at that time on what the numbers are.
I use a Bluelab combo meter and it’s held perfectly for two years. Be sure to order calibration solution and storage solution (very important) to keep the glass bulb hydrated correctly.

-What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed (photo or auto): bag seed. Supposed to be white runtz but who really knows with bag seed
-Age of plant: sprouted Jan 7
-Method: Soil, fox farm ocean forest, fox farm nutrients
-Vessels: Type and capacity of container (fabric, plastic, etc): cloth 3 gallon pots
-PH and TDS of Water, Solution, runoff (if Applicable): pH going in and out is right around 6.3. I do not have ec/ppm/tds meter but just ordered a blue labs one and can update again at that time
-PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable: I do not have a meter for this
-Method used to measure PH and TDS: I measure pH with apera pH pen
-Indoor or Outdoor if indoor, size of grow space: indoor, 4x4x7 feet
-Light system List brand and wattage/spectrum: full spectrum spider farmer sf 4000, 65% just bumped to 70%
-Actual wattage draw of lights: 450 real watts
-Current Light Schedule: 18/6
-Temps; Day, Night: 75 day, 65 night
-Humidity; Day, Night: 50-60 during day, 60-65 during night
-Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size: yes, 4" exhaust.
-AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier,: none needed. Tent also has a tower oscillating fan and I have ac infinity clip on fan to install also
-Co2; Yes, No: no

sounds like nutes lock out to me… I used to play with my PH between 5 and 6 and been fairing pretty well. Different nutes are absorbed best at different PH. usually I tend to go lower towards harvest.
other things that can lead to lighter foliage, I noticed is too much light.
