Hello fellow Green thumbs! First time grower here, can you guys help with telling me what’s wrong with her? I’ve looked at deficiency charts, but without first hand experience, I can’t really tell what’s happening is this normal cannibalism? Or a deficiency?? Thanks
It appears to be on the lowest, largest, oldest fan leaves which is normal in flower. If you notice the yellowing moving into higher, newer leaves it would be something to be concerned about. You could leave them for now if you want. But I would go ahead and remove the lower yellow leaves. It would help allow better airflow around your developing buds.
Even tho she is an autoflower, it won’t stress her out too much??
She’ll be fine with fan leaf removal. You just don’t want to get to aggressive this far into flower. The removal of older unhealthy lower leaves will be beneficial for airflow around lower portions of plant. In flower you want to keep RH down to 50% ,airflow around lower portions of plants is a good thing
Awesome!! I’ll check her when I get home from work, if there is yellowing on higher up leaves, what might that be?? Also, do you happen to know how tall she will get by the time she’s all done?? White widow autoflower. She’s currently 15.5" tall, I have my hlg 300L Rspec about 27" above canopy ( to help with light burn, it’s b-b-b-b-bright!! Lol
If it’s yellowing on leaves higher up, usually it is nitrogen deficiency.
The stretch will usually occur in the first 3 or 4 weeks of flower. But occasionally they will continue a little longer. So depending on how long she’s been in flower, should help you determine how much more height she’ll get.
Okay, SO! Just got home to check her out (8 hours gap) and it seems like it hasn’t crept up to her higher leaves yet just the lowest branch and the biggest fan leaves, so should I just trim all the mostly yellow?? The very large ones and the lowest/oldest ones?? Also; she just started flower 6 days ago(after 28 days in soil), and has grown almost 4 inches, since then lol
Also, my rh is currently between 46 and 49%, day temp is 80.8°F, lights off temp is about 73°F… if that helps diagnose lol
Not too much. Looks good.
What I see in Flowering stage that would be Normal. @Bulldognuts As you covered
Not at all 100% on the morning got off dead leafs that where not helping, and also opened her up for better air flow, and light penetration. Great job keep it up
@Newt @kellydans @Kingkupa UPDATE 2.0!; Current stats; Strain; WW Auto; 3x3x6 tent. Lighting; HLG 300L Rspec 30" above canopy (she was really bushy, had to give her some legs). Day time temp 81°F, RH 47%, Dark period temp 73°F, RH 44%, She is 16" tall, some slight LST. 5 weeks in soil (FFOF Only, 3 gallon fabric pot), Day 6 of Flowering.
Part 1) do you think it would be too early to go ahead and remove these 2 other gigantic fan leaves or should I leave them for now?
Part 2!) Why is there curling/clawing and brown tips on this one trouble spot? Not really seeing it anywhere else?
Part 3! ) last one … starting week 5 today, day 5 of flower… going to do a sledgehammer flush tomrrow,… what do I need to know for these next coming weeks?? Environment, Feeding( fox farm trio) calmag??, grooming/ leaf removal, etc?? Thanks so much !!
Personally for now I would tuck the Couple leafs. Are you watering to run off if so what is your PPM? If you do the flush you will need to Follow up with feed. At that point the soil will be depleted . Happy growing !
Nice play on the Vapors song.
Yes I am watering to runoff, so far is been about every 3 days she takes about a 1.2 gallons, and the last time I feed, with about 2 cups of runoff…my ppm of the runoff was inaccurate because my nute water got into it
…I need a better way to water this fabric pot lol any tips?? ALSO, what do you mean by tuck the leaves?
I use a rack an slide a Pan underneath pot to catch run off. (Tuck) push the fan leafs down Underneath the bud sites. Through a grow I tuck a few and take a few leafs.
