Serious Question on hermies

Harvested two SS plants in October and finally over the curing time.
I was breaking apart a bud to partake in my labors WHEN:

WHY?
This was suppose to be a female plant, grown in basement, so why are there seeds?

hermie, or pollen in the basement from another grow, or u carried pollen into the basement on your clothes or equipment

Theres only 2 real possibilities either you had a hermi that you didnt catch and it pollenated your whole grow area. Or you or someone close had a male. If you know anyone else that grows and they have had a male. You could have accidently brought pollen into your grow area.
Did you ever notice anything during flower that looked like banannas?

Good news is they look like mature seeds and should germinate just fine.

lol, well i guess there is a bright side lol

Also to make fem seeds, the female is stressed but not to point of hermie but will produce seeds.

I remember something i noticed that would have been strange, would not have thought a banana , lol they were yellow ,long, and unusual for a plant of this type.
don’t know if anyone around me is growing or has a male.
Seeds were postmarked out of Calif.
would be really weird to bring the pollen in with me BUT something had to happen lol.

The smoke was good , more of a head high, but just wasn’t expecting seeds lol

thats interesting, since i am a beginner at this I could have easily stressed them out LOL.

since i purchased the seeds through ILGM i would not think i’d get a hermie, and since this was my first grow in basement i can only agree that i must have brrought the pollen in with me from outdoors somewhere.

although @laurap mentioned that they could have produced seed with out turning hermie due to stress.
LOL now i can probably agree to that a good deal, lol since it was my first real grow indoors.
the girls probably had a lot to go through putting up with me ,lol

My Gold Leaf plant gave me 1 single mature seed. I’d consider it a bonus as long as it’s just a bud or two

Long and yellow yes we call them nanners but they are actually male flowers. Yes stress can cause it. As mentioned below if you grow them seeds watch closley as they will be prone to hermie too

I always get a few seeds in my grows even though my plants don’t hermie. What can happen is a single bud can hermie internally so you never see the pollen sacks. It can happen when you let a plant go too long before harvesting.

OR that your plant was stressed just enough to make the seeds. But it’s to late know to figure out. Unless you wrote every detail down and I mean every little detail of your grow other wise. Just move on and try not to stress them or what ever may have happened.

There could have also been a little light leak…
I had a room full of plants and a small pin hole light leak from a window ac that only shined on one little bud and it was the only bud in the whole room that produced a couple seeds… so it can happen… double check for light leaks…

I’ve had that happen too.

Good idea will check it out on next grow.
The bottom dropped out in the basement as it got super cold last night and I’m afraid the Gold Leaf didn’t make it.
So sad,

Post a pic of the gold leaf if you can

Here is a pic of some of the buds from the GL plant.
