Iām going to be finally picking up a larger res for the autopots. I think Iām going to settle with 30gal instead of 55. Easier to lift off the ground and pull on a cart. That and the cart I have has a 330lb limit and 30gal will weigh 250. I use the cart to lift the res about 8" off the ground and also to take into the RO room to refill.
Iāll be flipping this weekend at the latest. Sorry about lack of updates here, Iāve been mostly posting to the chatroom thread. I have 2 more plants than need pruned and tied down. Give them a few days to recover and flip. I believe so far 3 or female but will know for sure when flipping. I hope at least one male so I can just use the autopots.
Not the best train and trim job but they bounce back how I want them to be shape wise when done.

Set their schedule to 8am-8pm last night so they have been officially flipped. Mixed 15gals of ferts to fill the autopot res and the aci base. 5 plants use up quite a lot, glad Iām not having to hand water these.

A lot more praying once switching to 12/12.
I think the most exciting part is waiting to see what the buds look like. Iām hoping they look close to the stems of the leaves and plant. Little green with deep purple/red.

Skipped bothering with a 30-55gal barrel which was my plan. Figured why not use a tote for a res like I do with my hydro, dur.
Grabbed a 27gal HDX tote, drilled a 1/2" hole, fitted it with the gromet from the stock autopot reservoir and filled and mixed it up. Still have a 4watt wave maker in there. Helps circulate and mix the jacks up nicely.
I still need to move all my power strips but did this for a quick fix till I get around to it. No leaks but just in case.
Added a 1/2" hole to the lid to mimic the autopot one. I drop in my RO line and let it fill. I assume the hole in autopots lid is for that but also maybe to help with condensation, dunno.
Only mixed up 20gals so it doesnāt slosh everywhere when moving the cart from the RO tank room to the lung room. This doubles my nutrient volume so I hope that gives me more than a week of time between mixes.

27 gal HDX tote lasts me a week for 3 plants with a drip system with about 2 cups of runoff per day. So it should last a bit longer with Auto Pots. But I leave the tote in place, and mix my 10 gallon recipe in a 5 gallon bucket, dump that, and an additional 5 gallon bucket of plain RO water into the tote. For me itās easier to haul the water to the tote than the tote to the water.

Hmm, I never thought about making a concentrate. I could mix up 20gal worth of jacks in a 5gal jug then dump and run plain ro to it. The tote is on a dedicated cart so itās easy to move around thankfully. I plan on running an RO line to the lung room now that spring is coming in and weather isnāt freezing. Then the process will be much simpler.
Iāve been getting about 4-5 days mixing 10gal using the stock autopot res. I know that being in flower they can really up their usage.

Off topic but not much going on. Did a res fill thatās about it.
Anyone ever tried Buddah Society āTHCAā bud? New brand pooping up ever minute. I know this stuff is just normal bud using THCA as the loophole (as all cannabis is THCA, not THC-D9). I just get nervous sometimes grabbing stuff. My last grow is too heady for me and makes me anxious. Canāt smoke the NL yet because itās still growing so turned to smoke shop bud.
Smells good, not sprayed that I can tell and made sure I asked at the shop. The girl recommended it. I havenāt smoked it yet wanted to see if anyone else had.

Smokes well, tastes good, and good high. What I donāt like is their lab tests donāt check for contaminates. Cool, you have a cannabinoid profile, but I want to know if Iām smoking pesticides and heavy metals. I guess itās on the consumer to take the risk or not, which is fine but I wonāt be buying it again.
Itās actually kind of funny thinking about another shop I went to. With the loopholes some places are likely buying form local growers or unknown sources and shipped in by some. I saw a vac bag like youād at home to seal up cannabis or your food full of bud in the case tucked away. Then they reuse the large containers of branded THCA flower but with whatever they put in it then give you a baggy. Only a matter of time before these low-end head shops get busted and take down the rest with them.

Here in the Sooner state, starting in june, you will no longer be able to see what you are buying. Everything ,flower wise, will be pre-packaged. No look, smell or anything. Just have trust what the grower is selling. Kinda jacked up . I want to see and smell what im paying for, which is the reason im hooked on growing.

Yeah they putting so many regulations on the legal stuff that itās better to just grow your own. They still want control

Thatās crazy! I wouldnāt buy anything I canāt see, smell, or touch. I give an exempt to these sealed mylar bags with windows. You can usually smell whatās in there. They are likely at that point just mass growing and whatever goes in the bag goes in it without being the strain itās said to be.
I will say what I bought is actually quite good. Iāve only smoked the GPD and itās stoney af and helped me finally get some sleep. Only thing I donāt like about dense buds is when you grind they tend to make a very fine grind where I prefer a course grind and chunkier parts.
