Seedling to vegetative state

Ok we received our nutrient pack from ilgm and need a little help. Stage 2 fertilizer is applied when? The plants are about 3 weeks in. Do I use seedling booster or go to growtime fertilizer?

I’ve never used bergman’s nutes, but can tell you plants are officially in veg when they get their first set of true leaves. At three weeks in you should be there.

Edit: just referenced the feed schedule. You go to growtime nutes after the first two weeks. So you should be using growtime.

Thank you. Sometimes I overthink and analyze things too much!! Also when they start in the flowering stage move to the stage 3 flowertime fertilizer (plant booster and flowertime fert).

I feel you there. I micromanaged my first grow every day. After that one I just mix nutes properly, pH, do a little trimming and LST. I only see my plants at feeding time unless something is wrong.

You should download the feed schedule for bergman’s nutrients. It’ll show you what you should be feeding your plants every week of the grow. I’ll upload it for you if I can find it. The one I got a few minutes ago is a PDF or I’d upload it now.

Great!! I got it!! I took pic of it and gonna print it out. I had downloaded the grow Bible and now can’t find which file or note I put it in!! This is second grow with 6 plants so last year sucked because of being a helicopter parent to the dang things. But this time have a grow room done and hope for the best!!

Oops dumb alert or could be just had a brownie!! The guideline chart as I read it, means 2/3 tsp per gallon, once a week per plant or normal watering? How far off am I in reading that? Does each plant need a gallon of mixed nutrients per week? Help before I drown and burn these critters

Follow the nutrient schedule and test the PPMs and PH down to 6.5 if soil or 5.8 in coco. Always feed or water to run off once the plants is old enough, generally for me that’s the end of 2nd week of veg not counting the 14 day seedling period. Test the run of PPms and PH each time and keep a notebook of your readings. What medium are you using, most amended soils will feed a plant for 4-6 weeks with PH water only :love_you_gesture: soil likes a wet to dry cycle and depending on the vessel size this can be 3-5 days. Most pick the pot up when it’s dry to get a feel of the weight and after watering feel the weight, this will help with knowing when it’s time to feed or water again.

Anytime Growmie, what brand of soil are you using? This could determine when you start using nutrients :love_you_gesture:

I am using the ocean crest and another one from Fox Farm (think name of it) and some coco mixed in. I didn’t have the seedling nutrient from ILGM in time. But have started the veg nutrients.

Ocean Forest and Happy Frog? I would recommend not mixing coco and soil, each have a different PH range and sweet spot. Post some pics Growmie, that soil mix you made will feed approximately 6-8 weeks after the 14 day seedling period with water at a PH of 6.5 :love_you_gesture:
