Seedling to Veg

I have four white widow autos. Two are about a week ahead of the other two. I’ve started training two of them at least I hope it’s not too early but my question is how do you know when they switched over to the vegetation stage mainly for my logs not so much as it matters for their growth cycle. Couple places online say 7 true leaves then your in veg. And if you have any comments on how they’re doing it would be greatly appreciated as this is my first grow. The first two were germinated on 29th of January followed by two more about 5 days later when I thought I had an issue. Oh, and the older two just got there first feeding. They will all get feed next watering.

I think you are doing a great job with them, they look happy n healthy… as for stages it’s like you said not that important but I personally consider a plant in veg when they get their second set of muti fingered leaves (leaves with more than one finger)

They look great! I think you’re in the right place on the training.

If you’re asking about the timing because of nutrient schedule, others could give you a better answer than me.

I look for calyxes to signal the first day of flower, you’ll want to learn to identify them. It’s also how you tell male from female.

If my seeds are feminized I shouldn’t have males correct?

@whtdrgn No…a simple light leak can cause the plant to go Hermie and or Male. Long as you are dialed in for how you grow you can help minimize say a Male from forming.

I only had 1 male and I grew it. Generally speaking you should be fine. :+1::+1::+1:

Nope, you shouldn’t have to worry about that part. With photoperiod, of course you know when you’re going to change the lights in order to time your pruning. With autos, they decide which day so it would be good to know what to look for.

@CurrDogg420 guess it’s time to do some research on how to identify the first day of flower. Thank you.

@MeEasy i think I’m going to use your 2 muilti finger leaf to change the grow stage to veg. That would put the first two at the 14th and the second two at the 18th. Love the grown with Jane app. Just have to be religious about entering data.

@whtdrgn then from veg to flower I don’t start counting flower time until I actually have flowers and they seem to finish around the times set by the breeders of course it’s not perfect there’s just way to many veritables. Here’s an example of what I consider a flower… I’ve actually named them hedgehogs

When your plant has leaves in addition to cotyledons it’s no longer a seedling. The pics in first post have been generating vegetative growth for a while now.

7 true leaves? They normally come in pairs so using an odd number is almost as strange as saying you need that many leaves. Veg should be from the first multiple blade leaves that show.

I consider it to be in veg by the 4th node or once you start to see branch growth. Your in veg in my opinion. And for flowering. You’ll notice the bud sites coming in. A lot more white hair growth on the top of your canopy. They look good. Keep up the training. :+1:
