Seedling help. My seedling is twisted

Is there anything i can do to help my seedling open all the way. I’m not sure what this girl is trying to do.

The seed membrane is off so I think that it will be fine in a few days. Don’t over water.

Thanks for the feedback. This is only my 3rd grow and i have yet to experience anything like this yet. I also have a girl the popped out with 3 leaves but I’m assuming she will be fine.

Is that soil or coco?

Triple leaves happen from time to time. Some folks get really excited when they get one. There is a name for it but it escapes me. I think that @kaptain3d or @Oldguy might know. @MidwestGuy will know for sure.

You may be referring to polyploidism. Three leaves on a brand new plant isn’t a guarantee that it is a polyploid; however, I would keep an eye on it. You will have a lot of trimming to do if it is.

If you are growing in soil, then let the soil dry out before watering again and then maintain these wet/dry cycles. It is important for plant health. Overwatering can kill a young plant. Coco is the opposite. Coco should be watered daily.

This is what Google calls it:

It is not uncommon to find a seed with three cotyledons, called trichotyledons . They are characterised by the presence of a trio of genes which alterates the structure. The result resulting in plants with 3 or more leaves per node.

Its a combination of coco and purple cow soil. Kind of experimenting i guess. I didn’t want to transplant my girls so i put coco in the middle to get my seedlings going before the roots hit the soil.

Go one or the other when you transplant. Mixing them is not a good idea. Soil and coco each have differing watering and pH requirements.
