From the looks of my trichomes, I’m about two weeks from harvest. However, I noticed a few seeds forming here and there. Not a lot- maybe one seed per stalk. My question is this- since I’m so close and the trichs have started turning cloudy, do I just let it go and continue until about 30-50% amber or what? I’ve heard contrasting views on potency but since I’m using them to make gummies I’m not that worried as I could use more to get each batch this making up for any decreased potency. Should I be concerned? If so, what concerns? Also, if it’s producing seeds will it impact the time until harvest? I’m at 7 weeks flowering.
The more amber, the more couch lock effect. From everything that I’ve seen the most potency of THC is when you are at 100% cloudy. Essentially when the trichomes start turning amber the THC is degrading. If you want couch lock. I wouldn’t go more than 20% amber.
Once again this isn’t from personal experience, but I’ve seen several people that had a few seeds forming. If you only have one or two it shouldn’t affect overall quality. If they are full of seeds then it’s basically to late either way. I would go ahead and take them to at least 100% cloudy.
