Does anybody have experience setting up a SoG?
My loose idea is to set up a flood and drain table with 4 plants per sq ft. Freshly rooted clones directly into 12/12. But this would require many clones (around 100 or so) and foolproof SOPs to follow to try and get my cloning game on point. I would like to maximize yield and quality and space efficiency. Increase my turnover for harvest as well.
Of course these ideas are plans for the future. My cloning regiment has not been successful so far. I have a lot to learn in keeping mothers as well.
Does anybody have any input for what it would take to prep for this style of grow?

Get ya a solid mother vegging and clone away

Is there any way to prep a mother plant to support taking upwards of 50 cuts at a time? Particular pruning style? How old do you let it get before cloning also?

You’d be better of with a couple of mothers if ya need that many. Or grow one big girl
They are Photos and can take whatever ya wanna cut. Take cuttings on the lower half. Leave a node or two and you’ll get double cuttings next time.

For a SOG I’ll take 8-10 cuttings, after they have rooted and ready for a transplant I’ll put them in 1 or 2 gallon pots. I’ll flip the light after 2 weeks to keep the grow space manageable after I’ve selected the ones to keep

Im am learning right now (though I’ve read it here) to do 1 plant per screen. At least have plants on the same schedule. If you have an issue with one, its difficult to work around when the screen is engaged with multiple plants. Ive got one going in veg, and one about finished in the same screen. I need the one to be done so I can fill the screen with the other. Its not impossible but impractical. Im having to work around both plants. @Myfriendis410 and @merlin44 have excellent screen techniques. Good luch brother. Im sure youll produce beasts. That King of the Hill episode from your profile pic was on yesterday. Its the best.

What Id like to do is root ~100 or so clones in 1.5inch rockwool cubes and then tranfer them to larger cubes in a flood to waste table, moving them to flower as soon as they are rooted.
This is the set up id like to recreate…

I did but i I think Disney is involved? Im not expecting much. I think I saw an image from it and it looked odd. The guy that did John Redcorns voice died last week.

I saw that. Seriously awful thing what happened to him.

Thats exactly what Id like to do. Less energy wasted on growing biomass and just farmin’ buds instead.

Good luck Grow Bro, 6 fill a 3 x 4 for my SOG runs. Finding a 100 cuttings will be a challenge in itself

Do you seriously know how much room you would need for 100 clones? Not telling you not to try, but have plenty of room, and I mean plenty! Lol Good luck , I hope it works!

They essentially would grow roots in the dome, get thrown into the bigger cubes and be immediately flowered. Grow one single bud/cola and try to limit any biomass growth. Just a method I’ve seen somebody doing that really intrigued me. No need for uppotting or defoliation or anything like that

It would be really hard to take ~100 successful clones for sure… but I’m hoping to up my game. If other people can do it maybe I can too
