Scrogging and light cycle

On my second grow attempt and the first question is:
I flipped my lights to 12/12 to start flowering 5 days ago. I just set my scrogging net and set it on there today. Is it ok to start the scrogging method after starting the flower cycle??

If you mean starting to get your canapy even, then yes. Pull and tuck while filling up every hole. That would be the goal.

I’m going to point out that if you have any issues with a single plant you will play hell getting it out of the screen without messing up the other plants. Better are individual SCROG’s:

I anchor mine to the pot and can carry it around by the screen: in this case it took two of us lol. That’s a 14 oz plant BTW in Promix and GH nutes.

I like that setup. Did you purchase that, or make it yourself?

It’s all PVC fittings from Home Depot. Cost about $20. I used some screws to secure parts of the net frame that allows me to pick it up and designed the uprights to be adjustable up and down. @Not2SureYet has these now and I’ve got other variants now.

That looks pretty good. @Myfriendis410 is right though. Having the scrog set so you can remove parts makes things easier to work with. I copied his originally. He could drag the plant around using 7 gallon pots the way his was made. I have modified mine over the years. This is my final set up. I use bungee line and shower rings so I can move the lines. makes it easier to feed when they are young. And I can un clip the lines when I harvest. I can slide what I don’t need to the side as well. Once I get the new plants to the screen. I will add a net on the top bar for support of tall colas
You look like you are off to a great start here :+1:

ThNks for the info, I’m gonna try some variation the next time but here’s my final look 2 weeks into flowering. :crossed_fingers:hoping I fine need to cut anything out like last time a hermie got into the mix
I’m thinking I should let it ride till harvest but have space to add a top bar for heavy colas if needed!

You can get a bungee net on amazon that is easy to add if you need. I am thinking I may get another as it is easier than having to add a trellis net. One like this

It looks like you are a head of the game. Nice work :+1: I see she has stretched a lot. You are going to get some long colas from the looks of it
