I hope this isn’t….
Pull one off and pinch it open
All I see are calyx’s.
They get fat as the plant gets older.
I have never grown a plant that did not have those.
Its just the way the female plant grows.
Each node has at least two flower calyx’s and they always get plump.
Keeping an eye out is good though. Watch for male/herm flowers. But they do look a lot different.
Male flower…
They typically have a little stem between the flower and the stalk.
They have creases in the sides where they will open up as a flower and drop pollen.
They have no pistils (white hairs) protruding. The pistils on the female flowers dry up as they get older and sometimes are hard to see.
The stick and ball
There is a total shape and size difference between the solitary flower of a female and the seed pod of a male.
You can pluck em off also if it helps.
It’s normal, and I’d leave them. Some plants swell more than an others.
Thanks for info guys. I feel better now.
I feel like this image needs to be a sticky on every cannabis forum lol. It’s not a new growers fault for not knowing, but I feel like it’s 99% of new grower questions haha.
