Getting down to the wire on the last of the growing season. I live in Western CO and the nights are already getting colder. Looking at the buds how long would you say I have and what can I do not to lose the plant to cold shock? Its an African Sativa so it like its sister’s has s long flower time.
How about an overall shot of the plant? How long in the ground? When it went to flower?
Getting colder over here East of the Front Range so feel your pain. We haven’t quite hit freezing yet but it’s coming (the 'Springs).
She was put outside on July 6th.
Her sister which is a Zambian I’m giving great thought to cutting. She’s starting to get bud rot here and there.
It’s hard to tell if you are in the harvest window. Bud structure is a bit different. You may have to let the weather decide when to harvest.
Hey @Africanplainstrain i definitely do a wet trim and remove the dead yellow leaves. Also trim the bud rot and dispose. They aren’t producing and too late to expect to get them back. I’d also bring them in at night to keep them warm. Get some hydrogen peroxide 3% and mix 1 part to 2 parts distilled water and spray in the morning. That should kill the rot.
Looks like you have room back there for a greenhouse. Christmas list?
That’s a pretty plant.
Thank you
We have a greenhouse but its still a work in progress. It gets very warm in there even with fans so we are trying to figure that out.
Went and looked at the plant this morning and I am thinking she will be ready next week or week after.
Looks close! Fade is strong, how are the trichome looking? Early harvest is better than budrot I’d say…
