So in the last 8 hours, my little lady has stretched over 2 inches, should i move the light closer?? I also just ordered some vivosun 3gal fabric pots, and setting the 5 gal buckets aside for now.

Gave her some support last night and dropped the light another 2”. Gave her a couple spray bottle spritzes this morning. Im happy to see her happy!

WW#3 seed was put in coco presoaked in very light nutes.

#1 is light hungry for sure. Ive been moving the light down trying to slow her stretch.

Is she trying to tell me its too much light now? Or is it normal for the leaves to kind of rest after stretching up for the light?

Everything looks good except how much is has stretched. You might want to move the light just a little closer. How many inches from the top of the plant is the light?

The straw will be an issue later unless it’s cut down the side.

@CoyoteCody the light is about 4” away right now and has been for about 16 hours now, with 4 of them dark. And she hasnt stretched any more since then.

@Covertgrower the straw is split and i think she stretched past the point of it being useful. Lol I have a bread tie hooked onto the cup, ready to go if she shows any signs of lean.

Ok i would leave it there, just make sure you can put your hand between the light and plant to make sure its not too hot on it, and do you have a fan going to gently move her to strengthen the stalk?

I did the hand test and it feels fine. And yes there is a fan going just slightly wiggling her every now and then.

ok sounds like you are on the right track, just remember when you transplant to go a little deep to cover up some of the stretch, where ever you bury it up to will develop roots.

#3 should break surface soon today, theres a little dirt movement in the cup. Ill post pics later when shes up.

Alright, sounds good.

#3 pushing up! I just gave both a brand new 23w 5000k cfl and its much brighter than the one old 18w that i did have.

#3 may only have one serrated leaf, but shes got a big heart!
