Rough looking clone

Got this clone on Friday from the local shop and has been looking rough hours after I put her in my tent. I’ve had a dome over her the majority of the time as there aren’t any roots coming through the rock wool. Temps around 70, RH 40%. Light is turned up to about 1/3 of full power

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

With scissors, remove about 1/2 of the mature leaves and leave the smaller ones alone. Until roots develop, plant will uptake water through leaves but not enough for capillary action to ‘inflate’ the leaves. Keep the dome on, temps around 80F and run your lights 24/0. It’s very common for clones to look pretty bad before bouncing back.

Keep the medium damp as well :love_you_gesture:

Warm it up. They can get pretty ragged and bounce back to be great bushes.

No roots yet, keep humidity around 75% or use domes. Temps look good to me. They drying out because …. No roots yet.

You can use this to calculate the VPD

Check the stage your in for the recommended VPD level

I would recommend getting the temps up around 76-80 :love_you_gesture:

At least. Warm and moist and those clones will thrive. Also clones are the only time i mist… just me. Ill go on year or 2 long clone runs at times.

Looking better after doming for almost 2 weeks. Dome has been off all day today and she’s holding her own. I did get the temps and RH up as well in the tent

She’s looking good

This one on the other hand is not. Friday will make 4 weeks since I got her from a local shop. There still aren’t any roots growing out of the rockwool and if I leave her undomed for more than a few hours she starts to look worse.

Thoughts?

I would take off brown leaves as a clone. Let her energy grow new leaves. As long as she is pushing out fresh new growth she is moving along.

Dome the plant, in the begining.

No new or very little growth since she came home 4 weeks ago. Maybe the shop I got it from just started the process and was selling them too soon?

Here is the thing with clones. Unless she stops growth totally they can recover and bush. I have had 1 green leaf turn into big plants. Patience. Keep environment right. If it totally dies then move on but clones can be very very slow at times. If at least 1 clone makes it then grab more when she is big enough.

No problem at all. Welcome. Just grab a ton when any of them get vegging well. 1 plant can feed you clones years.
