How long was the learning curve without a gauge on the press?

@Mozzy i do it by feel. The 10 ton has an inline guage but ive found that muscle memory is better than following a tool when it comes to pressing bud. Different temps, different pressures, and different times will produce different results. Its a personal preference for most. For example, i like to press mainly at 190 where others prefer to press at 225. I also do some cold pressing where i drop the plates down around 150 to 160 to get a real buttery dab after a week of curing, speaking of which, i prefer to cold cure, which is when ill take fresh dab and stick it in the fridge for about a week and let the terps really mingle. As far as time? Im still learning lol. I guess thats why i grow alot of bud so i can experiment and not have to worry if i screw up a few oz

 Shop?

 other shop?

Do tell.

I have a couple of arbor presses. I guess after going from arbor to hydraulic for most things, it just seems like going backwards. But it makes sense, I still use the arbor for delicate stuff, starting seals and such.

Hmmm

I have my home shop and then work shop. We deal in automotive equipment so we have alot of odds and ends when it comes to toys. Ultimately what i came down to for me was to keep it simple. Sure i could go extravagant buts whats the point and fun in that? I like to play lol.

Sorry old, stoned and can’t remember if it was you. I need to learn how to spell dab (dap). Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I’ll send you a bib for your trouble.

Do you use a vaporizer? If so, what would you buy today if you could give it to yourself for your first rig to use daily at home?

I’ve got an old classic that sees ~oz/week… Still a tank, but considering vaping rosin, since supply is not an issue for squishing, and it seems like that would make things simpler than dealing with flower and replacing bags forever.

Thanks, would that be ideal regardless of cost, vs. a Dr Dabber Switch or Focus V Carta 2?
