Hi,
I have been doing research on roots organic for my outdoor grow, I decided to go with there Terp Tea line they have out . I was impressed by there reviews, as well wondering if anyone has used there line of product ? Any advice greatly appreciated thank you .
I have used their soil, pretty happy with it. But never the Terps tea, sorry.
I love their soil, its all ive been using since i started growing. I have not used their other products though.
I didn’t use the soil, but I ran the whole cycle with the veg and flower Terp teas. I brewed the teas with worm casting, compost, molasses, seaweed extract, and the terp mix. I didn’t run into any issues. This was my first go so I can’t give you a comparison. It sure smells good after the cure and my wife said it smokes great.
Only have used the bubba grow, bubba bloom with contented results from the she critics being nourished. Following instructions. The soil was Roots Organics as well. Easy go so far, however, the whole growing environment is definitely a factor in production.
The soil works great. 3 plus weeks no nutes needed.
@dbrn32
What nutes did you use when you used their soil?
Advanced nutrients
None. It was used as layering media on top of super soil.
@dbrn32
Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me more about your super soil and layering?
Followed recipe found on internet and mixed up the super soil, then allowed to cook for about a month. Placed super soil into bottom third of pot and topped off remainder of pot with the roots organics.
I did this for my dad and father inlaw, for outdoor grows. Both have managed veggie gardens for years but neither any experience with growing cannabis. They seem to be doing ok with it so far.
Anyone adding perlite to the Roots Organic???used FFOF previously with perlite and it drained very well the roots seems to drain a lot slower. Is it just me or should I ad perlite??? 5 days between water vs 3 on the FFOF 7 gal fabric pots…
@BobbyDigital
I don’t with roots. It’s already got plenty. I’d rather go 5 than 3 between watering any day.
Also, ocean forest gets much more hydrophobic when it dries out than roots. So likely the OF wasn’t absorbing all the water fully.
Ok that’s great less work! Thinking feeding every water this time.
Yeah just check runoff ppm from time to time and if they start climbing you can mix in some water only days.
I’ll tell ya that last grow with it was so easy, it couldn’t have been easier without someone else doing it. Dont even have to adj ph going in with my tap water it ph’s itself to 6.5 every time.
Yeah, mine does as well. I have had to tweak the cal nitrate on a few plants but other than that, smooth sailing.
I haven’t used Roots OG for years. I used to work for their parent company Aurora Lighting Co. Good soil, but I found it to come with a few more stowaways (bugs) than other brands.
