Hello self sustainers lol. This is my 2nd year at farming a crop and my 5th grow. I’m still learning from everyone else and trying diff lights and techniques and mostly just seem to frustrate myself at whatever mistakes I’m making lol. Make a lot too. I don’t seem to have issues until flowering time and as a the picture will show I’ve had nute and ph issues. I’m unsure and that’s why I need your hep. The plant is WW feminized. It is in its 32nd day of flowering. Ive grown Haze (what a tuffie those girls are lol ) WWfem, GreenCfem which is in foreground (32nd day of flowering as well) WWauto, AculpolcoG , Nlights auto, etc and I have ph and nute issues with nearly everyone of my grows in the 2-3rd week of flowering. Sometimes the issues remain throughout the grow. Organic homemade supersoil which is ph’d at 6.1. I use well water that averages 6.0 ph. I also use 10ml of CalMag and per 5gallons and 1 1/2tsp of 50/30pk. Frustrated please help they seem to have so much potential and I’m #&* once again lol
Well if you’re not ph adjusting your water that might be part of the problem. Because that’s a bit under the proper ph for soil. But let’s get some experts in here to take a look. @raustin @OldSkunk @blackthumbbetty
And here’s a ph chart for future reference.

In soil, your pH should be between 6.3-6.8, with the sweet spot being 6.5. Do you adjust the pH of your h2o, or do you use it, as is? If you never pH your h20 or additive solutions, you’re probably looking at a lockout. Particularly potassium. Yes, even though you’re adding it, if the pH is too low/high your plants won’t be able to properly absorb nutrients (see the chart doobienoobie shared).
Do you water to run-off? Have you checked your runoff recently? That will tell you, roughly, the pH of your grow medium.
Have you added any microbes to your supersoil? Are you using organic nutrients or chemical nutes? If chemical, a pH balanced flush before switching to bloom nutes will greatly help your plants during bloom.
Btw…up until I found this place, EVERY grow I had ever done had the same problems as yours. I’d have a great veg period, then a few weeks after the flip everything would just fall apart. Turned out my organic soil was too hot, my soil pH was off, my water was really hard, and there were tons of nute salts just hanging around the root zone. Once someone told me to flush, everything changed.
So, check your run-off. I bet it’s very, very low.
Then, let’s talk about flushing.
Can I see your greenC? I am growing a couple and it’s my first grow. I’d love to see what my girls will look like in a few weeks
You’ve got a potassium deficiency, and as @blackthumbbetty said, it’s probably from improper ph, so you’ve got nute lockout. Get your Ph up to 6.5.
Here’s a couple pics of the G.C. I love the combination high of this strain… intense uplifting cerebral with mild body relaxation. The high is intense but not long lasting. I love this strain for daytime use. An easy to grow and tolerates stress well ie bend twist break prune etc
Nice job on the tie down. Look great!
Me and nute issues with everything from carrots to herb lol. I do adjust my nute water to as close to 6.5 as I can determine with my water color chart ph test kit. That’s probably not a good idea either but every ph water meter I’ve bought doesn’t work or stops working and the soil probes I’ve used aren’t much better. I buy cheap (20-30bucks) ones and that may be the issue. Most likely it’s my inexperience. Yes, I do use all organic nutes this grow and I added azomite , microbes etc to my soil. Thanks for the input I’ve added it to my hard drive ha and y’alls input is appreciated. It’s time for me to get a good ph meter. Any suggestions ? Price ? Got 4th yr young one at FSU so my wallet be mighty thin under $40. Obrigado !
Thanks I’m it trying for the first time.
Yes that is a nice job on the tie down method your using! Looking great.
Thanks ! I won’t use the twine again though. It gets into everything the buds , circ fans etc like hair from multiple pets it’s everywhere lol
Get a good pH probe. Money well spent. You can get one for around $75 on line. Very important tool. I have a bluelab. Make sure you get the calibration kit.
Here’s a cheap Ph meter that will do the job, just don’t drop it in water.

Here’s a good one that I recommend.

Got a vantikool ph meter. It’s the 3rd one I’ve had it’s prime so returns were hassle free. This one came today. My runoff was 5.7. I’ve got excellent drainage so I kept at it until I got my runoff up to 6.6. I will water again tomorrow evening with organic PK with nute water adjusted to 6.5. How fast should I see recovery in my plant ? Thanks
You can store your meter in 3M KCl solution and it should keep your meter calibrated and accurate.
