Hey just wondering how far down to remove flowers/bud sites on a main cola in early flowering? Several of my stems have colas growing out of larger stems and probably won’t get the light they need. This ak47 auto has pistils growing all the way down the stem on some of them.
Have a grand daddy purple auto and the same thing. Only my second grow and trying to create about 10 colas from each of the plants
Trim as necessary to maintain good airflow within the plant’s canopy.
Buds do not use light. Leaves do.
It is still early and the weight will pack on forming one long cola.
Best to leave her alone for now. I usually only defoliate at plus 21 days flower and only remove the bottom third of the plant. Then selectively remove leaves as they yellow and release.
As stated above; flower does not require light but does require the sugars produced by leaves.
