[Overall Progress photo]

This maybe stupid of me to ask. Really Before this my experience with growing anything was the hair on my own body, and nothing really in dirt. lol

But in the photo below is it common for like clovers or something else to spring up in fresh re potting soil? looks to small to be marijuana or there some odd things that can happen I’m unaware of?

(nothing came of this sighting, too small, never grew… wasnt even given a plant number)

p.s.

It still mostly smells like dirt and a weed. but i do slightly smell a hint of weed if you get my meaning. pft what am i saying of course you all do. lol

But maybe its my mind playing tricks on me.

It won’t really start smelling till you start flowering
Unless you get really close to her FYI :v:CB

(Plant #002 Found with Plant #001)

This discovery is unrelated to the other photo showing something come up in the dirt. but this one is new as i moved away the other from this plant. But this one looks more like a marijuana seedling. When I planted the seeds I was doing 2 or 3 at a time in a single spot. So i wounder if another came up. If so cool, but at the same time i scared to move it if it is.

Only reason why i move the other as it hasn’t gotten any bigger (But if it lives wanna see what it grows to be and its growing experiences.) but this one looks more like the right size for a marijuana seedling. So that in mind im scared to move it.

Is it OK to grow two plants in the same pot? I know Ill have to upgrade to an even bigger pot so the roots have room, and water little more often as they be fighting for water. Its early enough I maybe able to separate them. but too scared to damage the roots. lol

Progress update

[Plant #002, Hope this new baby lives]

I went ahead and transplanted it out of the shared pot. The main stem looks very thin so idk if its gonna make it. But Its now in the tray with the dome. So gonna baby it and if it get healthy and big Ill be happy. Two plants are better then one.

Progress close ups of Plant # 001 Taken Feb 17, 2017

Trying to get a better pictures at the stem, using different focus modes, and lighting to take the photos.
I figure its maybe still too early to tell, but from research and what I could see, it maybe female but still too early to say that for sure. They could just be the stipules showing so far?

You need a bigger pot or some holes in the 1you have it in, for better drainage, air …

Its been a short while since I posted. So here an update. Also wanna ask. If a leaf or two looks unhealthy when the rest of the plant is healthy looking and old enough to handle loosing said leafs without harm. Would it be a good idea to just remove them, and remove stress from the plant or does it really matter? I had two leaf that started to badly look like they where loosing there green color and bleaching out. Light settings are unchanged, I am guessing it was just me being too slow on doing another transplant into a larger container. When I took it out of the container i had it in i could see roots that been forced up when they where pushing against the sides of its container. So yep… lol

The rest of it is still nice and green. The second plant I tried to baby I decided to pronounce dead. Its shockingly still standing, it hasn’t fell over. but it has lost color, looks dead. It never really progressed aside 2 extra leafs that didnt get any bigger then the seed breaking leafs. But the first plant aside from a couple bad looking leafs i cut off looks great.

(Plant # 001 progress, 38 days in)

Progress I am sure isn’t all that great looking. Still am a poor !@#$ and cant afford the things growers can make there plants grow fast. Example is the below photo of my poor grow area which works well enough i suppose. the temp reader is there with the clock on it that is always wrong and never set. lol

As you can see the main plant is now in a Folgers coffee container. Such useful containers to have to hold stuff. like your cat litter, pet food, any other small things, to even growing weed in. The other seeds i have never germinated. So its just the one plant and a tray with a dead baby in it (a horrid way to say it for sure, just haven’t removed it yet). You can still kinda see the baby standing in the tray but its dead im sure. no color, leafs have mostly died off. The main stem looks so thin, thinner then before I have no idea how its standing right now. lol

p.s. the temp reader is reading little below normal because I had taken it out to move couple things around. and i took the photo after putting it back in. Its now reading 75.5’F At the moment this post. So its already back up into looking normal in the grow area temp wise.

Nope. Just new leaves.

Keep it up…

Another unexpected birth.

Like the last one, this one showed up out of no when i would of swore nothing was there the night before, it came up with my main plant in the same pot. It looks little bigger then the other baby that i lost but still has a very thin stem. Also as you can see like the other one I moved it out of the larger pot into the mini tray with the dome.

[Plant #003 Photo taken Mar 6, 2017]

So now again I have two plants. Gonna try best i can to keep this one alive giving it a chance to get strong. If it makes it, it may never be a prime my main plant. It was much thicker out of the seed then the one i lost and this new one. Very very thin.

Just when I think the other seeds i had where duds. lol

Whatever you do, dont overwater that little one or it’ll have the same fate as many overwatered seedlings

Shouldn’t be a issue. all that wetness is just from couple sprays from the spray bottle.

Just photos of the main plant only, some up close, and overall.

Is she too dry or too wet?

Idk, I just follow the knuckle suggestion. If the top soil too dry a couple knuckles it needs watering (So i read just cant recall where) Then i hit it with 2-3 Sprays with my spray bottle of distilled and a spray on the leafs.

She needs water go by weight pot dry to pot wet lift the pot within a few weeks you have it to a science but she looks dry under watered wilt but healthy.

its my first plant in more ways then one. I never really in my life tried to grow a plant of any kind. So all this is new to me.

they wilt from either over or under watering over is easy to catch pot will feel heavy and moist soil all the way to the top. Dry pot will be super light you can feel the difference easily the trick is catching it just before it’s dry then watering slowly until you get run off to avoid dry spots. then giving it several minutes and empty tray so it doesn’t sit in standing water. Take the water from tray and test it’s ph and ppm write it down then refer to those numbers before watering again to adjust as needed

I add vermiculite to my soilless mix about 30% it wicks water very well adds aeration and retains moisture also since it aerates soil it dries faster and doesn’t water log. Since you are beyond soil mixing phase simply drilling lots of holes around pot will reduce chances of over watering speed drying time and root prune so roots don’t get bound.

Hate to say this I may be wrong but they look like pollen sacks.
