Reefer Rods first DWC! Bruce Banner (DWC) VS Bruce B. (Soil)

Week 9 (Flower W5)

Nothing to much to report. Things are going good. Although earlier in the week I gave the soil a fraction of her nitrogen and my lord she bought sucked it out all her leaves haha so yea I learned my lesson. Some pics of the girls just falling asleep.

I do wanna say I find it intriguing that the soil girl has decided to skyrocket and now looks the better of the two. Shes a week behind in flower is what I guessed from her starting flower later then the hydro girl.

Yo @peachfuzz what’s your verdict on the Bruce flower clone hahah idk brother she been in heavy oxygenated water for bout a week and some with no signs of roots. I added Mychoriza to the water is all.

It’s still alive…
Lower the water level to where there’s only 4 inches or so of water in the cup…
Roots will start to grow from just above the water line , not in the water… :+1::wink:
That’s one misconception when doing hydro , people think as long as there’s oxygen being pumped into the water that everything will be just fine , not true…
They need more oxygen than they can get from just pumping air into the reservoir…
So by lowering the water level , it will allow the plant to create oxygen roots that will start just above the water line…
Also what’s your water temps…?
When I’m cloning , I actually like my water temps to be a little warmer than when I’m in vegg or flowering…
70 degrees to 74 degrees for water temps is where I like to be with room temps being 74 to 80 degrees and relative humidity at 60% to 80%…
You could also add a few drops of honey to your cup to help… :+1::wink:
It should take about 14 to 20 day’s before you see roots… :+1:

Week 10 (Flower W6)

Got me some actual lights to use for pics so hopefully the pics are much better this week. They continue into the last week of mid flower before we hit the long run. I thinks it’s super crazy how the drying curing takes almost as long as the growing part haha well if you have the discipline to pull a 2 month cure off. I made it to a month and a half with both my harvests. Hah

@peachfuzz thanks for awesome response for some reason I waited days for this response but never showed me on my notifications hah

Week 12 (Flower week 8)

So I took a bye week from uploading but I’m back! The girls are looking beautiful but I’ll be honest y’all I’m kicking myself in the ass. So I use the Liquid KoolBloom on them n its great but the problem is I should have gotten Big Buds by AN. Ughhh I used it twice now n both times I was very happy with results but this time I feel like because I didn’t have her there not as swollen as they should be.

I also finally got me a Blue Lab!!! My other one was good for $20 but I lost the screw to adjust it so I kept having to Kentucky Windage it hahaha. I would dip her in 7.0 solution n she would read 7.4 so I would know she was always .4 high haha blah but those days are over. Soon when tax return comes I’ll be building my RDWC. Nervous but excited.

So I may have to work on my timing for my perpetual, I have to somehow keep this girls going for another 2-3 weeks in this closet…ummmmm I’m f**ked! Hahaha they have already been topped then mainlined last week then yesterday they were super cropped and topped again. Dear god hah

May be harvesting tomorrow evening or thursday morning depending. May also hold them till next week idk! Would would yall do if these were your girls?!

They seem to be finishing up there nutes that are stored as well so maybe they do need a few more days idk. Also dear god so I have now topped twice and super cropped TWICE! My timing on my perpetual harvest is absolutely horrible hahaha

Dear god they are all fox tailing. What do I do!! Hahah fml but I seen a lot of pics online of Bruce and a lot of them had foxtails so either we all suck hah or they genetically have foxtails which then is good thing.

My GSC extremes all foxtailed last time. It was definitely a genetic foxtail.

Whatsup! Glad to hear from you friend! So I was thinking the same but IDK im getting worried. haha I swear they need more time like Peach and elheffe were saying but there starting to get the tall foxtails. May have to settle for mainly milky trichomes
