Rain in forecast, 40% chance

So I’m sittin’ here, about 2wks from harvest on one batch of Autoflowers and 5-6wks from harvest on Photos… Have removed most of the fans, all from AFs.

We’re expecting rain tonight, no idea heavy/light. But timing ain’t great. Not expecting HEAVY rain, and doubt we’ll have a second day, but do I need to bag them to protect from bud rot, or will they shed it well enough?

I don’t know where you are but in my neck of the woods if rain is caused by a cold front it’s usually followed by lower humidity.

SF Bay Area, but inland… we just had 5 days of 100+, expecting 80s-90s next 6 days. This is just a front approaching the coast, but because of the fires NE of here, it’s sucking the cold stuff inland.

Beautiful flowers
I’m doing whatever necessary to keep my flowers as dry as possible

I had a pop gazebo going but it was cheap and gave out lol so this is it for now

Umbrella ,shower curtain ,one garbage bag lol clothespins …shower curtain hooks …had to get creative

Thanks, I get that stuff, math n all :man_shrugging:t2:

I’m just wondering if I really need to cover/ bag the girls, or if I should just let them ‘dance in the rain’, like the hippie food they are

I’m only being completely protective and proactive because it’s my first grow and it seems to be going much better than expected …I’m scared of rot !! Had to kill one cola due to a cabbage looper boring a hole in it like an apple amd that caused a tiny bit of rot around the area …cut the entire cola 4 weeks or so out …which was 2 days ago …was pretty too

Thanks yeah I just wanna avoid bud rot this close to the finish line. Yours are looking choice as well

We get a pretty good breeze here, which may help them dry after… but if we get wind with the rain, it’ll force moisture into the buds.

Not worrying about the new starts of AFs, they’ll ride out anything but a down pour fine, I’m sure.

But I know, Los Lobos - Can't Stop The Rain - YouTube

I think if you can minimize the water on the buds that’s probably best but if not like my case I just wait til it passes and then give top to bottom all the Buds a lil shake to get the water off and they seem to be doing OK.

She’s Captain America KUSH, seeds from some 28% sun grown weed I bought. I planted 12 seeds, SHOCKED that it’s an AF, got 2 females, Both are like this. One of the best accidents ever

Ok, UPDATE… I lucked out, my buddy 15miles away got rain, but he had bagged his crop. I didn’t get anything until 6am, it was a quick downpour. ‘Felt it’ coming, so moved everyone under the plum tree for a couple of hours, then back out in the fresh air. NO WATER DAMAGE!!
Thanks to everyone for your advice
