Im in the late stages of flowering and a rabbit, I assume because I’ve seen them around there, got under my fence and chewed the bottom of my plant up…errr.
Sorry to hear about the rabbit!
At least it just deLARFed for you a bit.
Also sorry to hear about the testing!
Cayenne pepper. Wet the plant slightly and sprinkle red pepper on the lower leaves.
Around the base area too to discourage critters from getting close.
I suppose that’s one way of looking at it !
Yes, I definitely will next time. I hung what he chewed off and am goingbto let the rest of the plant go for now.
That’s wild that a rabbit did that!! I always imagined them to naw on the stems but never seen them in action.
I have a noise maker that is supposed to keep pests etc away. It’s alittle annoying but seems to work quite well. Maybe try one of those.
I also use a fake owl in the corner of my garden and a pest deterrent. Along with about two dozen strands of bird take (about 3ft long)
Not all these methods work 100% but if you incorporate a few of them your odds of keeping pests away increases a lot.
