Questions about pre flowering

Hey guys. I’m in my second day of flowering and so far I notice about 5 pistils. Is this normal or should the rate be higher than what I am witnessing? This is my first time growing and I just want to make sure the plant is doing okay.

Sometimes takes a week or more to show pistils from the preflower. Id say its a good start

Right on! When you’re doing your best and the plants overall health is good, your just battling with your mind of wanting to do things right. We all get it cause we’re all the same in that sense. As long as your plants look good and healthy sometimes you just gotta sit back and relax while time passes ya know?! Your all good and your plant looks great! Happy growing!…

I do that every day many times a day. I can’t quit checking on my girls! Here’s a couple pics of two of mine. This is the type of stuff that you’re going to be looking for over these next few weeks.

@G1291 your plant will only look as good as @TRF If you are a superstar with the scissors Lolol I’m joking …

But you could wind up with a mess like this

I’m also sure every grow is different and this was the first plant that showed female …it’s actually 2 How lucky …

Anyhow I saw pistols only at the nodes before I ever saw a calyx
And it felt like forever before it started preflowering

And then it felt like forever to full on

Haha :joy: @Lacewing arent you a comedian. Lolz your mess looks great! Although I think you should takeoff those few fan leaves that are yellowing and color to open up some airflow and more sun exposure but that’s just me. I just took a ton of yellowing leaves off of some of my plants and didn’t realize how much airflow I could get to them after I took those out. I don’t know where I’d be without this forum! Everybody here is great and full of knowledge just like you said.

@TRF yeah I was just bustin …
Yours looks great …I actually was coached a bit by @grizZz and I don’t think i was aggressive enough …
I took a lot of fans off and other lower junk earlier …those yellowing ones are coming off tomorrow . I have that same type of thing going on …on the other plant but those fan leaves are like almost a foot across and their stalks are as thick almost as the main stalk …

It’s damn intimidating hahaha

Yeah I know you were. My girl that I defoliated so hard last month has like went into overdrive and now she’s getting massive again. Here’s a pic from yesterday of her. She’s now finally in beginning stages of flowering and I think just finished her stretching like yesterday. Hopefully anyways. lol

She’s gonna be a beastie girl I think!

Yeah I decided I’m gonna get some lights and do an indoor grow in our spare bedroom here through the winter time and really practice all my LST. I’m gonna get this stuff down to a science :test_tube:
