Question on topping?

Hey everyone, this is my first time growing anything at all. I have northern lights feminized, and all my little buddies have survived so far haha. I may have underestimated how big they’d get though. I haven’t really done any trimming or anything, but I’m wondering if it’s too late to top them and where I should cut if not. They’re outgrowing the 7 ft greenhouse tent I got for them. They’re in 15 gallon fabric pots. I dug holes to lower the two biggest but now others are also reaching the top and a couple singed leaves from being against the top of the tent. As I said this is my first grow and I’m not super concerned with how much I get out of it. But I’ve become attached to the little guys so I just don’t want to kill them. XD

Do some reading on “suppercropping”. Might be a viable option for you.

time to start bending the taller branches down, go slow but they will bend for you…it may be too late to top branches as it looks like I see some flower starting… so bend them like Beckham

You’re talking about bending the main stalk? And is that something I’d do by hand or with string or something? I went out and took a closer picture if it helps of one near the top. I don’t think they’ve even grown the parts yet that allow me to make sure they’re female or not, definitely no buds yet or anything. The picture is the top foot or so of the easiest one to get to. But none appear to have the parts to identify gender yet.

I am going to call for @kaptain3d - he made a little supercropping video that makes me shudder, but I think you have no other course of action here.

I am a bit of a nervous Nelly about these things.

you are right I do not see pistils but the way the ends are growing is typical of a female and not a male…string and pipe cleaners should work for you to bend her a bit on the main stalk and any branches…you can even use branches against each other to pull down one and up another…I would stay away from advanced techniques on this grow but it is up to you…

I used one of these last grow
