I would like to get some info on a CFL light i an using.
“150w 6500K Blue Fluorescent GES CFL Lamp
The lamp base is E40 GES thread
Lamp output is 9,450 Lumens
I bought the mixed mixed CFL with both 2700k & 6500k lamp and use it with a wing reflector”.
I need to know how far above the plants i should put the light. Having a few problems with seedlings - they just stop growing! Using good Canna grow soil - may be watering too much. Any help would be appreciated.
@pennyk take this with a grain of salt as I am new. From my understanding, cfl’s lose their good lighting after about 6” distance. I would start there and slowly go closer to avoid burning the plant. You can always add dirt to cover stretched stems but you can’t fix a burned up plant. As for water, a picture of the plant would help and your watering method and amounts.
Also, seedlings May pause vertical growth for a little until their root base is developed more.

Also water is an issue - from reading i realise that i have overwatered and will let things dry out.
If you can, upload a few pictures as you go along and anyone that reads your posts will be able to help with issues that arise. It’s an amazingly helpful group of people here.
